After getting the square app I received my first client payment through a credit card for some reason square wanted me to verify my identity (again) which I did and after locking up my funds for 90 DAYS!!! they decided to cancel my account without reason once they cancel your account they won’t let you speak to someone in person once I was finally able to get to speak to someone named SIMBA out in the middle of India somewhere he wouldn’t it give an answer as to why they did this! He was really rude and would keep talking over me then he said that my money would be available after a 90 DAY HOLD! So don’t waste your time or money with this app and go elsewhere
10/10 times they will give a customer back all of their money even if you have evidence that the customers claim is invalid. I switched to Stripe now I can breathe easy knowing my money is safe
Square is easy and convenient. I use it on my phone for my business, Dee’s Lavender Shop, and I never have any issues.
Been using this for years. Also u can use it to take money out of gift cards you receive as gifts. Just charge yourself the gift card amount.
Just know that if you’re creating an invoice in square on iPhone and you switch apps to copy something on a brand new pro max phone, it will delete everything you wrote for the name of the invoice and details of the invoice. You must save if you switch out. It’s a thing I’m sure that could be fixed easily.
I hesitated a lot and did a ton of research on POSs, I finally settled on square because of the many reviews I read. I am so glad I did! It was so easy to set up and use. I love that they take the fee out right away. It’s like a set it and forget it. It’s perfect for my busy business. I kick myself for not signing up sooner.
My app is in dark mode and I can’t review analytics like I use to. I wish I can get the old app back. May switch providers soon. This is annoying
I own a business and I wanted to offer Credit card transactions for customers. I have heard of square. Setup the account and all the info it asked for. First transaction with a customer and a large amount of money is being held by square. No emails, no notifications. I had to talk to customer service for 40 minutes to find out what’s going on and they said my account is being reviewed. Extremely frustrating.
It was a welcomed surprise that my iPhone worlds as a TAP device to process credit card transactions.
The fees seem a little high. I’ve been a square user for multiple years now. Seems like you should reward your long term customers with atleast a lower fee for card payments and payment links. But all in all I do love the square app.
