It works, but when you scroll through shifts, it randomly will switch to a different week

core UI issues that havent been fixed in months. schedule will jump back and forth without prompting it to, or not load altogether forcing you to back out of the app completely. not a cell service issue

★★★★★I wish every business used this🇺🇸 US

It's just like the ideal way to schedule everything, all the positions are clear and clean, and it's easy to use from the employee and boss standpoint, and every time I go to a new company, and I have to relearn all their stupid apps and systems that they use I find myself wishing that I had sling again. I still try to get employers I work for to use it today. The only thing I maybe which week would be having it so everything work related could be handled by it so you don't have to have 17 different apps for one job, and then the next place you go to you have to download a bunch of new apps if you ever change jobs all over again. It would be nice if there was just one app that had all of it and I kind of wish that sling was like that. Maybe they could do it like scheduling is free, but if you want to upgrade to W-2s and taxes and stuff like that, then the employer has to pay a small fee, to make it worth it from the app developer standpoint.

★★★★★Employee POVBugs/Errors🇺🇸 US

The app itself is useful but the bugs and glitches are insane. Every time I try to view my schedule it’ll load a different week when I scroll. When I try going back to the correct calendar, it’ll glitch out and I have to restart the app. Every. Single. Time. Also adding time off/unavailability is very tedious because it automatically applies it to a full 7 days and indefinitely. I do like that it sends push notifications to remind you that your shift starts in an hour.

Phone app is horrid, if you want to create/edit/exchange shifts you got to do it on PC

★★★★★Laggy appPerformance/Battery🇺🇸 US

My work has been using this app for scheduling for a long time and it sucks. It’s laggy and constantly glitchy and it needs an update, I do not recommend it for scheduling unless you want to piss off your employees.

★★★★ONE STARBugs/Errors🇺🇸 US

As a manager who builds schedules weekly, Sling has become an absolute nightmare to work with. There are constant glitches that make something as simple as scheduling employees way more difficult than it should be. One of the biggest issues is shifts randomly not appearing after you schedule them. Then when you try to re add the shift, the app tells you the employee is already scheduled…only for both shifts to suddenly appear later, creating duplicates and confusion. It makes you second guess whether the schedule is even accurate. There are also visibility and UI issues everywhere. Important buttons like the “All Day Unavailable” option are nearly invisible on the employee side, which leads to staff accidentally submitting things incorrectly or not seeing options at all. The app will also randomly show employees working doubles or shifts on completely different days than what was actually scheduled. As a manager, that is incredibly frustrating because now staff thinks THEY were scheduled incorrectly when it’s actually the app glitching. Another huge issue is requests off and unavailability submissions. Employees will show proof that they submitted them through the app, but nothing appears on the manager side. This creates unnecessary conflict between management and staff because now everyone is blaming each other when it’s clearly a system issue. These are honestly just a few of the many problems. Sling has potential, but the amount of glitches, syncing issues, and unreliable scheduling behavior makes it hard to trust for restaurant scheduling.
