Took away the counter that showed how many passengers add us as a favorite driver. Yeah, take away anything that a driver could use as something positive and possibly enjoy. Great job Lyft. Make sure there’s nothing that could possibly be enjoyable for a driver. 👍

Good app could be better drive time shouldn’t be counted if you’re not moving. Sat for 12 hours of drive time and only got 3 requests one of which cancelled
As a driver, this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I was permanently deactivated based on rider reports, with little to no transparency about what actually occurred. While I understand the importance of safety, the process feels one-sided, where drivers are judged almost entirely on passenger feedback without a fair opportunity to provide context or defend themselves. I maintained a strong record on the platform, including being recognized as a top driver, and have always prioritized safety and professionalism. However, it seems that even a few unclear or misunderstood reports can outweigh an otherwise positive history. Driver evaluations rely heavily on rider perception, which may not always reflect the full context of interactions. This creates a system where misunderstandings — or even biased or inaccurate reports — can significantly impact a driver’s ability to continue working, without meaningful review or transparency. There should be a more balanced and transparent system in place that considers both driver and rider perspectives. At the very least, drivers should be given clearer information and a fair opportunity to respond before permanent deactivation decisions are made. Overall, this experience has raised serious concerns about how drivers are treated and how decisions are made within the platform
They are fraudulent service. They fraudulent deactivated my account. Wish your business died
I drive for 10 years. Fortunately for me, part time. Along all this years I’ve witnessed the payment decline and the increase on the percentage that this companies take from the Driver. It was 15%, now is anywhere between 50% to 80%. If your not doing the Math for every single ride you will be taken advantage of and potentially loose money. With that being said, the reason I’m giving 3 stars is that Lyft manages to be a little better as a company to deal with than Uber (2 stars at best) but overall I would not recommend this as a full time job to nobody and if you decide to do it, make sure to join all of then (Uber, DoorDash, GrubHub, Uber Eats, etc) so u can shop around and switch Apps as the day goes. Don’t ever rely in only one Gig Company because they all Suck.
I just wish there were more options. Why not give Customer’s the choice if they want to pay more for their ride to be a GMC Escalade? Vice versa if the Customer wants a “cheaper” ride offer them a Small Sedan or Hatchback like my Mazda3. Also, your perks are terrible. 2% cash back on gas? Why bother…that’s pathetic
After 6.5 years and 9,700 rides while maintaining a 5 star rating, my account has been deactivated due to 1 passenger “reporting” that I was on my phone while speeding and running a red light. I feel betrayed, I feel discarded, and I feel like I was not valued. I understand Lyft must take passenger safety seriously, but I feel like if one passenger can accuse me for driving recklessly without any proof that’s not fair. There’s no way I was texting and driving with a passenger in my car. I take my Lyft driving seriously. I hope this review helps those who read it. The learning lesson is be sure to make everyone as comfortable as possible and hope that’s enough to not make them report you.
