Amazon Alexa

This app is trash. I use this app for two things: my shopping list and to turn on my kids lights, and I can never find either. Im always lost in the wrong tab. I am looking for one thing with Alexa products, ease of accessibility. That’s the whole point right? I’m too lazy to turn on a light switch but have time to scroll through three tabs to find a light???? No. This ain’t it. 277B dollars Jeff Bezos, do better.

It is still hard to know what devices are being scanned and which ones need to be disconnected and reconnected such as my ring cameras and Visio sound bar

Trying to get my devices set up now that I have a new ISP is like chewing on broken glass.

Waste of Money, nothing has changed over the years to make things better. Things have only gotten worse. False advertising. Apple Music is not an option.

Alexa enabled voice purchasing without having to go into the app, when my 5 year old asked. Responded with a no, and then after being asked a few more times, they turned it on. It was previously off. When I asked for it to be turned back off, Alexa could not do it. This was not okay and I almost had an unexpected and unauthorized sale

Fraud

For the love of god, get a UI expert to redesign the Alexa interface. It is so hard to figure out where to go to do anything. Have you moved? Good luck getting to the app to update your new location. I’ve updated my address in three different places and my Alexa still defaults to where I lived 3 addresses ago. About to switch to Apple for this reason alone.

Ever since Alexa+ was pushed regular echo devices do not show up under the announcement list of devices for Ring cameras.

Alexa is a great system. If you want to get angry that it continues to fail basic commands. When turning on a group it fails more often than not. There is no middle ground when you request a basic command to be done like Alexa play Spotify on "group name" of multiple linked speakers. Basically it's time to move on without Alexa. Gave it the ol college try but after a few years of constantly arguing with the system and failing to get it to do basic tasks it's time to find a good system. The fact that we spent all this money on the system and it's failing this regular just proves the lack of quality. Sound is decent that's the only reason this does not move down to a single star. Amazon maybe think about programming a better system that can action the basic requests.
