I have used Doximity for years, and it just keeps getting better! I have always needed a way to call patients while blocking my number, so that is what first brought me to the app. Then they added the one-time text reply feature, which is SO helpful when you don’t want another answering service call, but a quick update. Then the ability to fax. But the topper has been the scribe function! I now refuse to call clients on my office line! If I miss them and they call the office back, I have the front desk let them know I will call them right back. That way I can call using this app and the scribe function. It is highly accurate. I’ve made minimal changes to notes, mostly name spellings, and TINY tweaks, but I’ve been HIGHLY impressed. Thank you, Doximity!
App works most of the time however there are some days when the dialer doesn’t work. Not sure if it is the patients phone number has blockers for unidentified numbers.
This app is so helpful pulling information together and providing evidence based guidelines that helps guide the work up for complicated conditions
A great resource
Free calls, spoofed as the office phone number. AI generated call summaries. And Doximity’s research button is great too. Fantastic, free service, activated by your NPI number.
I called a pt and it showed my cell phone number rather than my office number for some reason.
Doximity unjustly excludes optometrists from their dialer service behind a paywall. Physicians, dentists, and even APPs are included, but for some reason ODs are not. It seems clear to me that optometrists belong among these other professions. I contacted support about this, and this seems to be entirely intentional. Additionally, optometrists are not able to use their appropriate professional title through the messaging or their public profile.
