Excellent experience with Booking .com..
I now at times have to do hotel bookings for self, family, and company and will say Booking.com has been most efficient from an iPhone 17 PRO, and have partnered with other corporations of large scale business to consumers! I am thrilled with Booking.com and also utilize many of their partners, hence, my experience with travel has been stellar!
I booked this stay through Booking.com, but on the day of check‑in the property was completely unreachable. I called multiple times and sent messages through the app, and no one responded. With no way to confirm my reservation or receive check‑in instructions, I had to cancel. Later, a charge attempt came from a completely different merchant name that did not match the hotel. My bank flagged it as suspicious and opened a fraud claim. Even after providing Booking.com with screenshots and proof, I was told there was “nothing they could do” because the property had to decide — even though the booking and communication all happened through their platform. This combination of an unresponsive property, a mismatched and suspicious charge attempt, and Booking.com refusing to intervene feels predatory and unsafe for travelers. People should be aware of the risks before booking here or relying on Booking.com for protection.
