★★★★★Great App for the first years🇺🇸 US

This has been such a reliable resource in helping both my kids safely try new foods and given us many ideas on how to serve and challenge them.

★★★★★An absolute must 🙏🏼🇺🇸 US

This app gave us the confidence to jump right into baby led weaning. It's super user friendly and simply tells you how to serve foods at every age. There are recipes and videos that really helped us through our journey. Our son is such a confident and great eater. We have this app to thank !!

★★★★Overall Very Helpful, but the tracking needs reworking🇺🇸 US

Overall, Solid Starts has a wealth of helpful information about baby led weaning. I especially like the visuals for how the foods can safely be served at each age. My only struggle with the app is tracking. I try to use the meal plan part, but sometimes, I just ended up serving a food, not a meal and wish there was a way to input that. Also, when introducing allergens, I wish it would count on the badges as soon as I introduced it, but it only counts when it gets served at the time it gets suggested as a meal, which is only once a week. If I went at that pace, it would take forever to introduce all the allergens and the upkeep for them. I wish the tracking was more condensed, simplified, or at least offer more flexibility. The calendar tracking is unfortunately not easy to check what food was served at a glance too.

★★★★Help🇺🇸 US

I’ve been using this app since April and I’ve really enjoyed it. However, today I tried opening the app and all of my data got erased. I’m hoping someone can restore this.

★★★★★Worth The Hype and The Money Spent!🇺🇸 US

We bought this app when my son turned 6 months and it has been SO helpful introducing him to solid. I appreciate the ability to see a food at the store and search the app in real time to see if it’s something he can have. I definitely recommend it to anyone considering the app!

★★★★★Overpriced🇺🇸 US

I don’t recommend buying the subscription. It’s literally $100 for information that I could easily find by googling, asking my pediatrician, or buying an $8 baby-led weaning book. I forgot to cancel after the free trial and so was charged for a year’s subscription, but I figured it might be worth it. Unfortunately, I can’t say that it was. The app is also kind of slow and clunky. I did not find the plans, etc., particularly easy to navigate, for instance, if I wanted to skip over something I’d already introduced. I’m not sure if the free version of the app allows you to look up how to serve the different foods by age, but that was the only feature I really used and again could have looked that info up for free (and used my instinct after a couple months). I actually wish they would at least make the subscription monthly because by about 3 months into solids, I had absolutely no need of it.

★★★★★Thank you!🇺🇸 US

So helpful for mom's first second or third!

★★★★★So helpful🇺🇸 US

I found transitioning to solid food to be SO stressful (esp with a baby with food allergies). This app was a lifeline for me. Keeping track of the foods we tried, any reactions, and checking to see how to prepare each new food kept me sane. Will use this again for any future babies!

★★★★★Amazing app!🇺🇸 US

Starting solids with our little guy was the most intimidating journey. Our pediatrician recommended solid starts and it was a game changer! I loved being able to easily look up a food and see how to present it to my child. Tracking allergies was amazingly easy on the app too. For a little guy who refused purées, we would be lost without this app. Also we loved the recipes!

★★★★★Paywalls🇺🇸 US

If you’re looking for a free source this would not be totally it. Yes there is some good info in this app but a GIANT portion of it is hidden by pay walls and I’m not paying $20 a month for an app as IMO that’s pretty expensive. *RESPONSE* I’m well aware of X-ing out and navigating the database, you’re not understanding that in order to gain access to MANY other things in this app, including being able to click options under “meals with this ingredient”, being able to watch a video of preparation or how to feed to a baby - that it’s behind a paywall and the paywall isn’t super reasonably priced. $100 for the year or $20 a month is crazy. I don’t even spend $20 a month for any of my subscription apps including streaming apps. If the app was tiered better, and the monthly cost was so high I’d actually consider subscribing. You’re not listening to everyone when they are making you aware of the out of touch price point. All you do is tell them the food database is free and to just ignore when the app is telling you “hey you have to pay to access this”……

★★★★★Must have🇺🇸 US

I have had this app for almost 5 years, downloaded it with my first. I now have my 3rd almost 7 months and I use it daily! Gives me piece of mind and good ideas for meals as well!
