The official app for Divvy, Chicago’s bike share system. Divvy consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bikeshare is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city. The Divvy App gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going. The Divvy App also shows upcoming public transit departures, including CTA ‘L’ train lines, local & express buses, shuttle buses, the Jeffery Jump Bus, Metra trains, PACE buses and the South Shore Line train. Within the app, you can purchase the following Divvy passes: Single Ride Access pass Membership Happy riding!

★★★★Scam Day Pass🇺🇸 US

Misleading day pass claims to be 19 for the whole day, but they still charge you by the minute.

★★★★Beware🇺🇸 US

“Unlimited bike rides”

★★★★Great concept🇺🇸 US

Terrible execution - Broken bikes, empty stations, weird charges. And I’ve been a member for 2 years!

menelaus32· 2026-06-09
★★★★End a ride is impossible🇺🇸 US

Ending a ride requires an agent no matter if it’s their own issue! I was charged for their hardware not working while trying to dock the bike. Such a joke, I’ll be going with Lime going forward.

★★★★Expensive Trash🇺🇸 US

I do my long runs from the far northeast end of the city to Grant Park. I would enjoy riding a Divvy back home instead of the Red Line or Metra but the cost is plain ridiculous. It’s not about having or not having the money, fortunately the cost would not burden me but $12 vs $3.75 … and that is the Metra price??? The bikes are in deplorable condition to add insult to injury.

★★★★Worst service I’ve ever seen🇺🇸 US

Somehow a billion dollar has managed to make the worst operating system ever created. If you are thinking of using this as a means of transportation and not just for fun might as well give up. All of the parking spots get filled by the e-bikes that can literally park anywhere but then when you have a manual bike you have no where to park it so you end up riding further away from your destination. I can’t even fathom how stupid the people at this company are for not being able to realize a massive flaw that I’m sure many people have pointed out

★★★★The most unreliable service ever🇺🇸 US

Literally only use it if you have no other option because if you rely on it to get on time for anything be prepared to run into some problem that ends up making you late

Wowowow bad game283· 2026-05-30
★★★★Terrible company in every single possible way🇺🇸 US

The worst quality bikes, the worst quality docking stations, the most frustrating app to use. I genuinely hate every divvy experience I have had.

★★★★★Membership Card in Apple Wallet?🇺🇸 US

When is Divvy rollling out annual membership cards in mobile wallets to Check out bikes?

@hjsmit· 2026-05-25
★★★★★Expensive🇺🇸 US

The app works as it should and you can find bikes and unlock them easily assuming you have payment set up on your phone. Be wary of the day pass though as that only gives you the classic bikes free for the first 3 hours. The day pass is around $23 however. The e-bikes are like 44¢ a minute. We bought a day pass and rode the e-bikes for maybe 60-75 minutes and a classic for about 15 minutes and we paid about $61 total for that day including the pass. It’s just too expensive to enjoy. The bikes of both varieties functioned well but the e-bikes are a rough ride.

★★★★Divvy Bad lime good🇺🇸 US

I wish I could give it no stars The agent took too long, bad system. They give you where to park but some places are just plain non existent and broken to put it takes several times to lock in. Doubled my time of travel use the city taxi or uber avoid the headache.

I hate divvy· 2026-05-20
★★★★Basically a scam🇺🇸 US

You see discarded bikes blocking the street all the time but when you take a ride you have to park in one of the oddly rare divvy parking spots, but if other people also parked there then they won’t let you so you have to park even farther from your destination.
