So fare it works as described, love the fact I can manage the videos threw my phone vrse the old fashioned way of pulling the card and putting it into a laptop!

Lots of features on the Garmin. We have use the Garmin for at least 10 years and traveled all over the US. It has never mislead us. Easy to use.

These cameras womt show license plates clearly. So, every time Ive been involved in an incident, the police tell me they cant do anything because they cant read the plates. And, thats if you can even access the video. I have to find wifi to download the video or carry a laptop or tablet with me to put the memory card in to see a video. The video quality is horrible. Garmin cameras are just junk with all the overheating and junky charging ports and cords.

I’ve had many Garmin GPS Never had a failure. I just keep upgrading ever few years.

I’ll start off this review by saying no dash cam or manufacturer is perfect, usually I’m not picky. HOWEVER for possibly the best known brand for car GPS in days gone by I’m highly disappointed, not in the image quality of the almost $400 Garmin Dashcam Live Camera, I purchased a little over a year ago, but how badly this app needs new features & a redesign even a $100 dash cam more or less has more nowadays. #1 spotty, live video even with good LTE coverage/signal also there is no option to download or save live video in real time without a external screen recorder, or for that fact, no option without being connected directly to the camera to start capture to SD card, so if you catch someone breaking in your car, you can view it on your phone (if it loads) but if they destroy the camera before it uploads to the vault your SOL that should be an easy feature to add in for such a big company also you cannot review saved videos on the SD card with LTE. #2 you have to be connected to the camera directly to change settings or review video, you cannot even do it over your home WiFi network it can connect to, I find this as a major flaw that even cheap cameras can do, so if you want to review video you’re going to have to sit in your car or at best no more than 15 feet away to connect to the camera, what’s the use of connecting it to your home WiFi then? #3 for being “premium” cameras they don’t have that many premium features sadly, would be nice if a “surveillance mode” was added to detect people messing with your car, again a lot of cheaper dash cams do out of the box, obviously doesn’t have to be enabled by default, but should be an option, I am completely fine with a bit dated design if it works, but this whole app needs a overhaul for functionality mainly & a little more design wouldn’t be bad, friends warned me not to get Garmin, I was hoping to prove them wrong as I grew up, remembering Garmin as the GPS everyone had, but sadly they were right, as much as I don’t wanna recommend that $100 “value” dash cam, if I were to recommend or purchase again it would more than likely be a off name camera at this point, well I have no problems with the actual camera I will give them that it seems to be of good quality, the App just ruins it, missing features that are common nowadays,glitchy app connection, wise, feel like I wasted $400. Hopefully they change their app in the future, but as of now I cannot recommend any of their dash cams using this app, Garmin needs to go back to there roots & build software & products that “Just Work”.

Very cool and very nice

This app DOES NOT WORK!!! The dashcam refuses to connect over wifi, it takes 4 years to load a single clip off the camera, even when you attempt to delete videos, they stay. Trash. Waste of money and my time, I don’t even feel secure having it in my car when the footage is all seemingly corrupted on a massive sd card… SOOOOOO dissatisfied.
