Huckleberry: Baby Tracker

Glad to have this app

After a few weeks of using the app and the Berry AI chat I discovered that the app has been inexplicably using the incorrect age of my baby the entire time, even though the birthdate is recorded correctly in the app. I have been getting tips and advice about wake windows and feeding volumes as if my baby is one week old but they are nine weeks old. I have been dealing with a baby who has severe reflux and colic and the app was repeatedly telling me I am overfeeding my baby and to try smaller volume bottles and this didn’t seem right to me. Luckily I ignored it because I follow my baby’s cues and pediatrician’s advice. Any parents desperate to make their uncomfortable baby a bit happier would potentially have taken this advice and have been under feeding their baby significantly. I would highly recommend anyone using the app to double and triple check that any chat advice is using your baby’s, correct age and demographics.

I don’t understand why inputting mL for my newborn feeds are still represented in oz on the report. If I wanted oz, that’s what I would pick when input. Whenever I want to refresh myself on newborns feeds, I have to click in to the feed and edit just to see mL unit. Please change this… EDIT: While there is a switch in profile settings, you’re forced to pick metric vs imperial. It would be nice if this was broken up. Bump star since this was only a problem during very early time with newborn.

Huckleberry is $120/year when it should be significantly less. The app looks and feels dated and does the exact same job other appa do better. Big disappointment to use for 2 weeks and then delete for the money.

I recently upgraded my phone, and have been trying to log into my account via Facebook like I have before, and the app sends me to Facebook-logs me in, and then sends me to huckleberry to “login or sign up” I’ve made only one ticket to have huckleberry resolve this, and was told to not make more than 1 ticket. I waited for a response and then when I did, it was the generic FAQ stuff which I’ve already troubleshooted. Now it’s been more than 2 weeks… not heard a word? For such a great app, it sure does have some bugs they need to work out, and no one tries to resolve the issues. Still waiting. I’m upset because I RAVED about this app to all the new mamas I knew, and now I can’t even login to track my baby’s stuff!! 😭

The biggest issue is that all of the sleep analysis and recommendations are delayed. For example, by the time they generated a sleep schedule, my daughter was already 4 months and 3 weeks old, but the app gave us a schedule for a 4-month-old. At this age, even two weeks make a huge difference in wake windows, so the recommendations were already outdated. I found it much more helpful to track her sleep myself and watch for her sleep cues. Another thing I didn’t like was the personalized advice. I specifically came looking for help with breaking the feed-to-sleep association. I clearly answered that my daughter is exclusively breastfed, doesn’t use bottles or pacifiers, and hasn’t started solids yet. Despite that, the advice was to give her a bedtime snack, which obviously didn’t apply to our situation. If you have absolutely no routine at all, this app might be helpful. But for me, it felt like I was getting advice from a robot that couldn’t actually see my child or understand our situation, so the sleep analysis wasn’t useful.

it’s been so easy for me and my partner to use with our newborn i wish it would have two people share a account but other than that it’s so good and so helpful and not a lot of apps help without paying so much it’s been a life saver

Amazing app. I’ve had the free version and it does soo much. I’ve been logging in all my baby’s details and will be paying for the year to see what it shows me with the “sleep experts” lol

I’ve really enjoyed using Huckleberry to help track my baby’s sleep and daily routine. The app is easy to navigate, and the sleep insights have been especially helpful. It’s become one of my favorite tools as a mom!

This app has been crucial in keeping up with all our little ones needs. Highly recommend. We mainly use the sleep, solids, bottle, diaper, and bath trackers.

This app is amazing for all parents but especially new parents! It takes the guess work out of feeding times, diapering and sleep. 100/10 I would recommend this to everyone having a baby. 🥰

Amazing and wonderful app - for anything excel could do. Anything else is stuck behind a ridiculous pay wall. Saying “hey siri” or google/alexa (pay wall) A widget to help add it - pay wall Seems like app is set up just enough to be helpful and inconvenient, to pressure you into subscription.
