User Reviews
I had been using the move band that I got free through my company that I work for. Unfortunately I had lost it somewhere and I was so bummed because I loved using the app and having help with my daily journey to better health and mobility. When I reached out to customer support via email that I had lost it and what they would be able to do. They replied promptly and said they noticed that I had not been connected to the app for a few days and would replace it no charge.
The workout session have help reduce my pain and increase my strength and flexibility
Great concept, but the hardware and login process are deeply flawed I really want to like this program. The concept of using a tablet to track physical therapy movements and provide real-time feedback is excellent, and when it works, it is a helpful tool. However, the actual user experience is consistently frustrating. The motion tracking is often inconsistent; the AI will frequently struggle to process the exact same setup that worked perfectly fine during a previous session. It becomes quite obnoxious when the system "yells" at you for your form when the error is clearly on the software’s side. The biggest issue, however, is the constant account de-authentication. The tablet frequently logs me out, and getting back in is an "epic journey." The instructions mention scanning a QR code, but that option is rarely available or easy to find on the mobile/iPad apps. I don't use those apps for anything else, so having to fight with them every time the tablet decides to log me out is incredibly time-consuming. I’ve gone an entire week without being able to complete my exercises simply because I couldn't get the device to cooperate. This platform has potential, but the technical barriers to entry are so high that they are actively preventing me from completing my therapy. I shouldn’t have to spend more time troubleshooting a login issue than I spend on my actual exercises. I hope the developers address these stability issues and make the authentication process much more user-friendly.
Better off watching videos on YouTube. Might be useful if you’re elderly and bedridden.
Great experience overall. Although the tracking can be a bit wonky at times. The overall experience has exceeded my expectations. In a few short weeks I was able to get a handle of my shoulder issue and resolve it. I can finally say that after a year of discomfort that I feel normal again. Thanks to all of those that support this wonderful format.
The program is slow, not nearly as good as in person therapy. Exercises are too easy and don’t change month other than increasing reps. My exercises for knee haven’t changed in 6 weeks. Communication with therapist is very slow, asks question and you might get an answer 3 days later. The movement tracking is awful as well. Cars can drive themselves but we can’t track a human movement? I could be a little bitter because this hasn’t helped at all to date, I continue it now for the little bit of extra exercise, lol
One has to accept that for the convenience and cost, you are pretty much just dealing with programmed and AI responses. Sometimes the instructions are maddeningly frustrating until you get the sense of what movement you are supposed to do. It’s never going to be like working with a real life, physical therapist or assistant. Clear example of AI taking the place of a human. But for those of us who have mild conditions or wanting to get stronger there is a good chance we wouldn’t make the effort to see a real physical therapist. So it is accessible and doing it in your home at your own schedule is convenient. Given the silly collection of stars and streaks (we aren’t kids!) you will likely see benefits. A motivated person willing to put in the work we’ll see benefits. .
The Sword app is easy to navigate in and makes it easy to communicate with your physical therapist. There is lots of great content to maximize your therapy plan and augment your learning.
I love this program. I am able to do my therapy at my own Pace, and my own time. It is has helped me so much.
Great way to do physical therapy! I love how I can fit it into my schedule so easily! I am feeling stronger!
It’s good technology, well applied.
I am enjoying the program. I have never really enjoyed intentional exercise, but I find myself looking forward to my workout each day. My busy days were taken into consideration and I have shorter workouts on those days. I have some knee pain and suggested that instead of alternating floor and standing exercises, would it be possible to do all floor exercises at one time. My program was changed to accommodate me. This program is very motivating. I’m very thankful for it as it is helping me to be stronger and more flexible.
