Consistently stingy on sleep and incapable of taking chronic conditions into consideration.
This app forces you to journal every day if you want to use it and can’t deactivate it. Very invasive and dictatorial. Use Aura instead.
There are many good things that can be said about Whoop, but my waking up to the whoop alarm (in the green zone) is the worst. It’s so bad that I get stressed out during sleep and end up not sleeping at all. Also, no clear place for feedback either.
They should’ve never removed the CrossFit workout. Pathetic
Since yesterday after iOS 26.5 installed AI coach that usually gives some messages below 3 rings on the main screen showing- couldn’t load new notifications. We’ll try again later. Please fix it. Already did everything that could help like delete and install application again etc
BEWARE it will not allow you to cancel
WHOOP is easily the best hardware in the market. It just sits on your wrist and silently collects data for about a week without a charge – perfect. BUT it’s designed for one audience - pro athletes. They don’t offer different workflows for wellness or health tracking, and that’s incredibly limiting. The dashboard delivers a daily verdict that can feel harsh if you’re managing a chronic health issue (if you’re on heart medication that impacts HRV for example). If you can look past the dashboards, the underlying data is incredible. On a personal level, it’s been transformative but it’s difficult to access. WHOOP only syncs a narrow set of fields to Apple health, so it’s difficult to share data with my provider or with AI tools like Claude for deeper insights. I understand the goal is to keep the user within the WHOOP ecosystem, but the embedded AI tool isn’t useful. It can’t connect to external resources or support uploaded documents for ongoing reference – it can only surface basic responses to the dashboard. I’m also not interested in paying for health tests and bloodwork when they’re covered under my health insurance policy through my provider, I can’t imagine most people are….
I’m actually a whoop fan, but the AI Coach/Chat feature does not work on the Home Screen. I receive this message: “Whoop was unable to generate a response to your message. Please try again.” I’ve reached out to Whoop support twice and they were unhelpful both times. I found a workaround by accessing the chat on other pages in the app, but it doesn’t work from the Home Screen. I’ll update this review if/when the problem is fixed.
Having data about everything I do is so nice and helpful. My whole family has jumped on board and loves the friendly competition and discussion
Some limitations still. Not great step counting. Can’t differentiate between assault bike and echo bike. Can’t log workouts exactly as they were done sometimes. UI is mostly good but sometimes it’s difficult to find something I’m looking for with lots of design changes over the years.
I have been using the WHOOP for a couple of days now and the one problem that I ran into I went to the gym one day and I was running on the treadmill and I ran 1 mile and supposedly it told me I ran 0.36 and I let it calculate a little it gave me the same answer and the next time I turned off track route and then it still gave me the same answer so I’m wondering can you please fix this feature but other than this feature this WHOOP is one of the best fitness trackers that I ever used
Whoop started billing my card after I purchased a device. It wasn’t for me. That’s not a problem. The problem is there is NO way to stop their monthly charges. Go to whoop.com. Search for “contact”. There is no way to reach them. On a tiny link, the site says you need the app to manage your subscription. I never downloaded it, but OK. If that’s the only way… But even on the app, there is no way to cancel or stop charges. Only downgrade to paying less. I’ve forced to waste my time filing a chargeback with my credit card. And I’ll have to do this every month, because there is no way to have Whoop stop charging me. Looks like I’m going to have to close my credit card account so Whoop can’t charge me anymore. As you know, this will waste countless hours updating every other legitimate billing. Do not buy from Whoop. They will charge you for life.
