Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner

Absolutely lovely app, gives good details, is free, and is easy to use. I will use this as a student athlete.

OK, so it’s good but the only problem is so I have this eczema lotion and I was seeing if it’s good and then I was looking at the recommendations cause it rated poor the recommendations had nothing to do with eczema so some other products that you need for certain stuff was not the recommendations we’re not showing what you need for that type of condition that you have but I’m overall it’s pretty good, and then another thing is not being able to search up stuff for free so you have to scan something random and actually put in so much information to just see what it is like I was was just trying to scan my Sol De Janerio and I had to do a whole process just to see that it’s rated bad but overall three stars

I love being able to shop and understand the products that I’m buying and understanding more about what the benefits and negatives of the ingredients that I can’t pronounce. I think it’s good to be on informed consumer. I appreciate this app am I perfect, no but at least I am informed.

The battle between concerned consumers and unscrupulous manufacturers is never ending. Yuka is a powerful tool that is on your side. When I have little confidence in the FDA and USDA to protect my safety, I refer to the Yuka app. I never go shopping without it! Food and cosmetic products that fail to meet Yuka's high standards rarely ever go into my shopping cart. Thank you for protecting consumers and I hope Yuka continues to improve its rating process and continue to maintain high standards for food and product safety!

Want to eat healthier & be aware of what is in the food products you are thinking of buying? Then, this app is a no brainer. We never go to any grocery aisle without it. You won’t either after using it.

It wasn’t quite what i was hoping for like cause what if I wanted to see if a product i did not have to see if it was good you can’t with out paying a yearly fee. I wanted a trial before I agreed to it.

This app completely ignores and hides one of the major micronutrients: carbohydrates. Not only does it happily recommend products full of high fructose corn syrup and modified food starch, but also arbitrarily label "artificial flavoring" as moderate risk with absolutely zero explanation. It has completely unjustified and unexplained scales for fat content, again with no explanation and no discerning between saturated fats and unsaturated fats. DO NOT use this app for nutritional decision making, it will basically encourage you to develop type 2 diabetes.

There is not much available to day to actually tell us truthfully if products are safe for us. This app gives you unbiased information and allows you to make choices that are right for you and the health of your family

Of all the apps available of which most are trash Yuka delivers an incredibly well laid out app giving you independent reviews on just about any product we use on our bodies or put in our skin…from soaps and shampoos to snacks and treats it rates these products in simple easy to understand ways. Furthermore the app also provides more in depth insights into why such and such product is good or bad specifically stating these additives or chemicals each contains. I just can’t say how much it has already changed my families buying habits for the better. Our household slogan is now, “it’s got to pass the Yuka test!”

SOOO grateful for what the ingenious folks at YUKA have put together! So oftentimes we’re fooled by “healthy-looking” labels only to find out they’re actually masking a “poor to bad” product!🤢Merci Julie et toute l’equipe de nous garder en bonne santé!
