Braintoss captures a thought in seconds—type, speak, or photograph it—and sends it to your email or webhook destinations in one flow. Dark mode on the main screen. Optional on-device speech and image analysis for captions; sending uses secure connections to Braintoss’s delivery service. Apple Watch • Clearer status after you send — Saved until your iPhone has really emailed the note, then Sent. • Better handoff from Watch to iPhone, including when your phone was locked. • If a note gets stuck, we’ll let you know on your Watch or iPhone so nothing is lost silently. Notifications • Braintoss stays quiet when everything works — a small vibration and on-screen confirmation is enough. • You only get a lock-screen alert when something needs your attention: “Couldn’t send yet. Open the app.” • The home-screen badge now counts captures that are stuck, not ones still sending in the background. Braintoss has been my trusted go-to for years. And it had fallen a bit in recent times. But with this version 10 it is really back to form and then some. Wow.
I wish there was a better way to customize, like when I receive the email instead of just sending it out
I don’t get it.
I’ve been using Braintoss for 6 years and it’s the best app purchase I’ve ever made. I use it every day, not only for the “to-do list” sort of things, but also for creative ideas. I’m a fiction writer and sometimes I’ll have a big idea about my story when I’m jogging or driving or whatever, and I’ll immediately and easily capture it in Braintoss. This is so much better than other apps like Notes because Braintoss sends an email to my inbox that automatically gets flagged so I can’t possibly miss it.
I discovered this app years ago from the Howard Stern show and I’ve used it like crazy. I absolutely love it. I record a message for an idea I have or a reminder and I can forget it as it goes straight to my inbox.
The app is just buggy, unfortunately. It doesn’t always send the email and sometimes the items sit perpetually unsent. The Apple Watch side of the app isn’t very good either. Doesn’t close properly and will sometimes sit spinning forever.
I guess i am in the recent minority, this app works great. I send myself notes, pictures, voice recordings and have 3 different emails setup - work, home 1, and home 2. Not sure what the one reviewer was talking about when they said you cannot change the default email. I did. My work emails automatically get flagged so they go directly on my To Do list. My home ones - Gmail and Fastmail for family and personal respectively - are easily “snoozed” for later reminders. Works great for those looking for a digital inbox for collecting thoughts, tasks, somedays, and ideas in the GTD methodology. Mind Like Water is easy with this app. Thanks for making it. If you do GTD, get this app.
Please don’t waste your time on this. Most of the main functionalities don’t work, tried to contact the support but no use.
