Vanguard: Save, Invest, Retire

The app is absolutely awful if you have more than one account or multiple stock holdings. Here are six specific examples of bugs or flaws that have been unfixed for months: (1) It’ll often show a transaction as “Dividend” or “Fee” and not be able to show which security issued it, even if you click on the transaction, making it impossible to know why money was added or removed until you get your paper statement. (2) Security amounts are rounded to two decimal places in summary views, but tracked to 3, so you can’t reconcile anything without manually clicking on every single transaction to get the extra decimal place. (3) Information about securities is often shown by ticker only, so you have to memorize the tickers of all your holdings. (4) Transaction history views are maddening if you have more than one account because they don’t have a column for the account name; either you see everything uselessly jumbled together or you have to manually create a filter per account you want to see (which might be fine if you have 1 account but otherwise tedious). (5) Transaction history views default to the last 30 days, necessitating fiddling with the filter views to see anything more (whereas any other app would just let you scroll down). (6) You have to remember to manually select the tax method (e.g., highest basis first) each time you sell.

With the latest update when I open the Vanguard app it takes seconds before it asked me to login is the app broken or something

Like everything Vanguard does, this app allows basics without too much difficulty. Be warned: it is somewhat limited and you will still have to spend time on hold to speak with someone for any additional tasks. I like Vanguard’s funds but this app is one of many small reasons I’m regretting my choice of brokerage house. Death by a thousand cuts—probably should have bought Vanguard funds via Fidelity.

The only app on my phone that takes so long to load the login screen, it times out. Unusable.

The only reason I have money with them is because it’s inherited from my father’s estate I pulled $11,000 out a few weeks after got it. I’m 6/22/26 I sold $165,000 and transferred to checking no problem. On 6/24/26 my wealth advisor tried to start a transfer to his company suddenly there is a hold on both accounts and I’m not allowed to do anything for 1 year after receipt. Tiffany hung up on me when I point this out. Had to call back. Currently at 90 minutes trying to get the hold removed different tard supposedly licensed but can answer questions run don’t walk away from this company and file a complaint with sex like I did

I’ll start by saying I wanted to use a account I had setup with an old 401, which I was able to login to but was never able to create an additional personal investment account. I tried the app but it is the same. Whatever you try doing, you never get to the point where an account is created. I also new new account but it is the same, going in circles trying to find a solution to the issue of not being able to create account. The support is totally useless in this situation as the are only FAQs and articles that don’t address this. There is no online chat or even a robo chat. Honestly these days who the _ want to call. I am very disappointed that such a company as Vangard doesn’t have a better website, app, or support then this. I guess I will be going elsewhere. Unfortunate for both, but mostly for myself. Of course I could call but I shouldn’t have to these days.

$715 error taken out of my IRA with no recompense because they used that as my trading fund even though there was no cash in settlement versus a fully funded account adjacent to it. Furthermore, they didn’t then debit the money from checking to cover the escrow they just sold the shares at a loss. Just trust me a don’t use them for anything.

Not sponsored* I’ve been using Vanguard for about 5-6 years now. The app is okay, feels a little a bit outdated visually but there’s no lag/issues/glitches in the app itself. ALSO, I feel that their security is top notch. I opted in for their voice recognition feature today (had to talk for about 20 seconds for them to get a profile on me) just to ensure that it’s me they’re talking to. I’m really glad they take security seriously. Last, I wanted to talk a bit about their customer service! I’ve always had a positive experience as the reps are always friendly and professional. Jergin(?) or Jared(?) Wilkins helped me with cancelling a funds transfer today (06/18/26) and was great! Shout out to him! 10/10, I stay for the customer service.

Great, very easy to use very minimalist and simple great fines really like the Vanguard is a shareholder owner of the company but the other thing is missing is check writing and visa debit card with Zelle
