Drive Smarter

The automatic Day/Night mode in the app settings doesn’t work, it’s just always in day time (light) mode. Everything else seems to work just fine

Sometime in the past few months the Drive Smarter app has become a huge battery drain, persistently active in the background, consistently in my top 3 apps by battery usage. Even on the days I don't drive (or connect to my Escort Max 360c) the Drive Smarter app eats through my battery in the background. For example, today I drove 6 miles in my vehicle for 15 minutes. I used 149% of my battery and the Drive Smarter app consumed 15% while on the screen for 1 minute and in the background for 15h 17m. I’m going to disable Background App Refresh, but shouldn’t be so much of a loss of capability now that the app no longer syncs the posted speed limit on my radar detector for most roads now.

Had been using the discontinued Escort app, which had a “dashboard” feature, displaying speed and speed limit, without the map. Would be nice to have that in this app. I already have 2 maps displayed with Apple CarPlay and vehicle’s map. A 3rd isn’t necessary. I’m using the Redline 360C radar detector. Thanks

Unlike Apple Maps and Google Maps. This app doesn’t have the speed limits for the Local and County Roads. Only the highway. I didn’t think the app could be worse than the old Escort Life App. But. It is. You should work with Apple and Google to integrate with their apps. Also sort reviews by most recent reviews. Majority of the most recent reviews are horrible. Epic Fail.

I’ve had the Cobra SC201 for several years now and have had constant issues with the app syncing with the camera. After updates things were a little better but would get worse over time. My new camera, Vanture N4 Pro arrives in 2 days and I’m done with this app and that camera.

Application will not connect to my Radar detector. Radar detector is on the latest firmware. I just had this Radar detector refurbished by Escort within the last year and a half and now I can’t change any of the settings on the Radar detector. The radar detector will directly connect to My Phone’s Bluetooth, but the application will not recognize the device when scanning I’ve tried multiple devices and it will not work.

That’s the worst system created radar supposed to scan for police radar and Mark not the app sending information to radar. There’s a cop when there’s no cop in the radar gives me a warning the biggest scam 99% of fake warnings :(( radar doesn’t it’s not doing job:( radar doing what the app tells what is there’s a police there’s no police 99% There’s a no police :(( the app Should not send the information to radar to give me a warning there’s a police, the second where in the world you find traffic lights on the freeway that’s the dumb stupid again. The app comes with rider there’s a traffic light on in the middle of the freeway and third about 1/4 miles time at the time gives me warning like 15-30 miles speed limit.:(( Junk app and radar :(

Does not seem to be able to switch from portrait to landscape modes. That is an important feature that appears to be missing. If it’s there, then tell me how to do it.. also, how do you make your travel always pointing up in the app?

I had to use this app because the escort app stopped being supported but I can’t connect my radar because it says its paired with another device but I disconnected it on my bluetooth and escort app and it still won’t connect

If you use this for navigation, it sucks. No updates for two years. There are roads missing. I use Waze for navigation but it would be nice if the app was functional to use on long road trips to get good directions and alerts. Wish there was an API so Waze and this app could exchange alerts.
