The highlight of each park is their incredible geological formations. In Zion it’s the massive near vertical rock walls that line the canyon carved by the Virgin River. For Bryce, it’s gazing down from the rim of the Amphitheater and trying to absorb the presence of thousands of hoodoo formations. Your tour includes both parks and the 1.5 hour drive using Highway 89 that connects them. The tours begin as you approach either Zion or Bryce Canyon, you can begin at either, or even join the route along the way if you are arriving from Grand Canyon North Rim. The commentary highlights all of the best location of viewpoints and has information on many of the popular hiking trails you may choose to explore. And the region has a rich collection of stories of characters who framed the history, the native Americans who came before them as well as providing background of the amazing natural wonders. Shuttle buses operate in the busiest sections of these parks. You can take this tour with you and continue listening if shuttle bussing is mandatory during your visit. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle. IPADS: ** iPad models must include a GPS chip. Please note only the iPad Wifi + Cellular models of iPad contain a GPS chip. Wifi-only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to play commentary automatically. DOWNLOADING: The apps are larger in size in order to work offline. You must be on wifi to download as the store may block the download over cellular networks. We love this company’s guides and use this app on most road trips when available. However we really didn’t feel like we got the value of this audio tour as we did with others. We did all of Zion and a portion of Bryce and there wasn’t enough information or fun comments to justify the price.
We love the gypsy tours for traveling anywhere! The information is interesting and helpful! We wish the Zions/Bryce had a way to easier play the sections you couldn’t travel by car as easy.
The information you gain and knowledge is fantastic. The narrators sense of humor is wonderful. We had some issues with the our car radio. I called the number on the help. It was unbelievable ! We got a phone call back spoke in person twice to a very polite and friendly person. We were very impressed. Definitely you want to get the tapes. Our trip to Zion and Bryce Canyon were enhanced beyond our expectations because of our guide. Right on the spot in every corner on the map. Impressive how accurate their GPS workd Do not Hesitate. A perfect companion to any of our trips. Today and in the future.

We have bought this for six different national parks. LOVE IT! We have purchased this app for Bryce & Zion, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons, Rocky Mtn, and Yosemite National Parks. The narrator is fabulous! He alerts you along the way with must-do stops and prioritizes others. In between, he gives short anecdotes about the geology or history of the area. His voice is energetic without being childish and the stories he tells are interesting. Every time we go to a national park, I look in the App Store for the GyPSy Guide for the area...it does not disappoint!!
These GyPSy apps are a must if you travel the National Parks, so much to learn and they point out interesting facts along the way.
My wife and I used the SW app for touring Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. This app was outstanding for directions, park priorities and provided wonderful background stories for rack location. It was an amazing supplement to Information provided by the NPS and was very reasonably priced.
