98% of their “agents” / claim reviewers are AI bots. It’s impossible to get a hold of a human when you need real support.
Do not fall for the fake reviews, this company is an absolute scam! They won't pay out and then when you realize it they won't return your premium. Read the fine print because they WILL hold you to it without remorse, and they don't tell you about the result periods and three many things not covered until after you pay your first premium, then they will keep part of your premium when you realize they don't even cover what you need them to. Avoid!
I do not recommend lemonade pet insurance, the 1st and only time I used the insurance for my dog at the hospital they rejected my claim saying they didn’t have enough information for claim when I submitted ever piece of info the doctor gave me. After I did that the app was saying they were getting in touch with my dogs doctor to receive the missing information they needed ,while I was waiting for that they canceled my claim and I was out 2,500$
Full coverage is $30 a month less than my old car insurance! App is easy to use, I’m so thankful they offered coverage in Indiana!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The app works wells. However, beware of this scam. I have paid over $10,000 to lemonade for pet insurance over 5 years and they continue to deny claims. I’d did not have a single emergency claim paid out. You’re better off saving your money.
The wellness option is not worth adding on. There is barely any coverage. Especially on procedure day for a puppy. There is nowhere that the cost is 134 in my opinion. I say just sign up for illness only.
Update May 2026 Lemonade dropped my car insurance so I only have renters insurance. They withdraw from my card every month and when there is no balance I am forced to enter the same credit card again so they can get a payment. The annoying Maya doesn't answer. So frustrating app. Back to one star. I appreciate the ease of buying car insurance through the app however I don't like an app tracking me ALL DAY LONG. Is not their business what I do when I am not driving. Also is very difficult to get two services at the same time like apartment insurance and car insurance. Moreover, I am not able to ask specific questions to my needs. Is only one-way communication. Therefore one star...well two stars.
This app was an extreme waste of money and time. Weve had this app for a month and already regret wasting money on it. Its run by AI and the AI is absolutely horrible. We tried to cancel one out of two of our cats’ policy and it charged me a cancellation fee, which is stated nowhere. So, then we contact a real person on email about it and they gaurenteed us no card was charged… on the app under payment history, there was a charge to my card for specifically labeled by Lemonade, “Cancellation fee”. So they not only charged my card but they also lied about and gaurenteed nothing was charged. Then we try to cancel the other cat’s policy and it dosnt take her off until I try the call center number all day and make a complaint. If I get charged for this cat’s policy cancellation I will be more than furious because we have had so many issue with this horrible app. Don’t waste your time or money on this app for any insuarace. I’m beyond irritated and disappointed with this app. Absolute garbage and never again.
Do not and when i mean do not get this insurance. Its a scam they randomly rase your rates for pet insurance, the customer support is straight AI that just talks in a loop just to have them “connect” you with support through email and then the person that emails you is also AI. Do not get this app stay away from these ai scams. If i could go lower than one star i would.
They decided to add additional coverage as part of my renewal with no option to remove the add ons until AFTER my renewal policy has already gone into effect. Shady business practice
