App and service had gone from great best of bred to beyond zero
Unable to turn off eco mode from the app, very frustrating.
Terrible app. It reverts saved changes which is a joke. Want to build a schedule and then have it delete from showing in the app after? Because that's what their app does. Yes I have eco+ turned off, holds, smart recovery, etc. Nothing fixed the jankyness with their worthless schedule functionality.
No sleep mode and unit lights up the hallway like Vegas at night 🥹Tired of having the entire household have to use someone’s smart phone to turn on the fan.
It’s easy to use and set when I’m away
Be mindful that they will change their privacy policy after you buy and if you don’t agree, they block the app. You can’t change rules after getting paid! Also annoying battery notification is super annoying! It shows up everywhere, you cant even view your temps on the thermostat cause of the damn alert!
This is several years old of a problem that ecobee derka derka offshore team refuses to solve. What, no leet code exam teaches you this?!
“Did they even test this” comes to mind frequently when I use this app
Hello ecobee team, I’m writing to let you know that I’m removing all ecobee thermostats from my home because ecobee does not meet my Home Assistant integration expectations. For a smart home product in this category, I expect clean, dependable, first-party support for Home Assistant. The current situation is disappointing enough that I’m replacing the product entirely. Please forward this directly to the product and engineering teams as customer-loss feedback. This issue is the deciding factor in my leaving the ecobee ecosystem. Regards
You enter data stopping something, and it says it is still doing what you stopped. Not very good so far.
Easy to use and make my life easier
Great app except the thermostats keep randomly going offline then online. Haven’t been able to figure out why the randomness. Signal in the home is strong for all other devices even some outside so not sure why. Otherwise great.
