WEBTOON: Manga, Comics, Manhwa

Horrendous is the only word i can use to describe every facet of webtoon. Yes there’s a few good stories but most are plagued with theft and AI translations. The monetization is so insanely scummy it’s unfathomable. The adult stories always stay at pg-13 due to their strict content policies but here’s a constant stream of ads about gambling. The content filters are based in Korean that runs an English translator so ridiculous words like “obtained, misunderstanding, and sudden” violate their ai moderator but comments with curse words needs to be reported before being removed. I used to have a giant thread here going over each individual problem that i kept returning to because it seems like every couple of months they decide to update or make changes that keep worsening the experience for readers and content creators alike. At least shonen jump goes through editors AND fan surveys before deciding what series continue to go on. It’s also cheaper than webtoon with bigger and more grandiose stories. Is now when i should mention that webtoon authors have been caught time and time again tracing manga panels?

So good it’s a lot of action and it’s a lot craziness, but it was good

The ads and greed have been getting worse. Now they put finished series behind a pay wall so if you don’t read week to week you will come back to a surprise. But what really inspired me to write a review is that if I lock my phone with the app open, sometimes it will just load an ad and start playing with volume while locked

I tried my best to use this app, but the sign up flow just didn’t work. Email confirmation was flaky, and the sign in eventually just errored out. I’m not perfect, but i am tech literate and can usually create an account on a website … in this case i think it may be the app’s fault. Save yourself 15 minutes and check if they’ve fixed these issues before downloading.

I love WEBTOON it’s the best app for books! I mean it’s amazing,I just don’t like how the last episodes you have to read and you don’t have a choice! WEBTOON if you see this please change it! I still love the app tho!💗💗

This app is great and all but could you make it so we can actually post our comic on the app instead of some whole canvas publish site thingy, not all of us have that much free will or access.I just wanna post my comic on the website freely so please make it an option to do that.

This app is great, but I’m having trouble signing into it. Im upset because your comics are really good and it won’t let me access more episodes of them.

This app is so good if you have it at the right age some of them nock your socks off with excitement to ere are different types of stories for different types of people
