User Reviews
I did the free trial and it said it would notify you when the trial was up and it did not. Tried the manage subscription tab in the app and online and tried the other tab in the app and it says it will send you a link and it did not any of the times I tried it which was multiple, it says I have no orders. I got charged, so how can I have no orders. This app absolutely did not work for me. I didn’t not authorize the charge, I would like my money back.
Update - charge was posted on my Amex. Called SleepMaxx and the customer service claims I set up an account directly with them. Uh no. No I did not. There is only the Apple communication about the app nothing from SleepMaxx directly and I would have had to enter my card # which wasn’t going to happen as that would have been extra effort and my scammy spidey sense would have been up that it was scammy. Everything I do goes through the Apple Store. They said they are refunding my card. But concerned they have my card number. Update - today June 12th they have charged my card AGAIN. I cancelled well before the end of my trial. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. They shouldn’t have my card info but here we are. After the app being a total fail I canceled my subscription before the end date which was June 3rd. I canceled June 1st. Everything was done through the Apple App Store. I never gave sleepmaxx my cc. Sleepmaxx tried to charge me overnight on June 2nd. SleepMaxx tried charging my card they should not have had in the first place as I only went through the Apple App Store.
Took my money and now will not recognize my subscription. Do not download!!!
I canceled the subscription because it doesn’t do anything. So I canceled the subscription and it keeps trying to charge my debit card. I don’t think so. I feel like this is one of these fake services
The app worked for set up and that night. The next day I just kept getting popups to subscribe… I already paid for a subscription.. now it’s not recognizing me as a user even though the payment has cleared my account. Don’t download apparently it’s just a scam.
My results showed my optimal bedtime is 4:32 pm and wake up at 1:15 am. I don’t get off work until 5 pm and I have several responsibilities as an adult so that’s not remotely close to being an option for me. It adjusted to 6:28 pm after one night but still not realistic. Finding the time frame was my reason for getting the app but it’s not considerate of lifestyle.
Don’t bother. Not worth it.
I read the good reviews and subscribed. Wish I hadn’t. I have the same issue it looks like a lot of people are currently having where every time I open it there are pop-ups telling me to activate my free trial - I purchased on the web and no way in hell am I paying twice. When clicking “restore” it states that there is no subscription associated with my account. I have deleted the app and reinstalled a couple of times and that works to allow me to sign in “for the first time” again and then functions for one session but all of my data is lost This app is beginning to feel like a scam.
This app isn’t bad, but it isn’t amazing either. I’ll say the good first: I love the realtime countdowns for when to cut off caffeine, food, and phone time, and the app waking you up at the optimal time- all of this past week I’ve been waking up a half hour earlier and feeling great. BUT, with that being said, I also need to say the bad: the inability to edit your sleep hours sucks. Placing the phone on my bed on my first night only recorded 2.5 hours of sleep when I was peacefully asleep for 7.5. Not being able to fix errors like this screws up all of your stats because it unrealistically boosts up your sleep debt and they recalculate your bedtime to be WAY too early. You also can’t add in any naps taken- I tried it and the app thought I had recorded a whole night’s worth of sleep, resetting my calibrations for the rest of the day. I am once again back to looking for a good and consistent sleep app.
There’s a subscription that you need to pay for it’s so freaking dumb and if you don’t get it then you can’t use it
