User Reviews
I’ve tried a lot of wellness/ingredient apps, but Scout is one of the easiest to actually use day to day. I like that it breaks ingredients down in a way that’s simple and quick to understand instead of overwhelming you with information. It’s helped me become more aware of what I’m buying without feeling obsessive about it. Definitely a helpful tool if you’re trying to make more informed choices for yourself or your family.
It says the app is only $2.50 a month, which would be nice if you could actually pay for it that way. Instead, they charge you the $29.99 for the entire year. Nobody wants to do a 3 day trial that forces you to put your card down first to make sure you have the money for the full $29. Why pay for the whole YEAR when I need at least a week or two to see if I even like the app as I’ve heard it’s very inaccurate.
Considering it promotes certain foods and restaurants coupled with the fact that it considers sunflower seeds a “bad” food because they contain omega 6’s, I don’t trust the information. Feels very skewed to a particular food philosophy. There’s more nuance than good or bad so I don’t feel the ratings it provides are truly helpful.
I can’t even get past the initial part of setting up my account without it crashing out. As soon as I make my choices and it says “building your scout”, it just freezes up at 0%.
After you end your free trial period ,you will have to pay.
Got sent a link about this app and in that link it clarified nowhere that you had to purchase this app. In a world ran by subscriptions and bs, how about we give people a break on the way to healthier eating
this is worst app i have ever installed, i installed it and goes through whole registeration process just to see a stupid paywall
I want to live a non-toxic life, and I see so many people use this app. However, unfortunately you need to pay a subscription and I personally don’t have the budget for it. It would be great if there was a free version where you could just see the ratings of items, then a premium version to see the explanation behind them and better alternatives.
The top rated bottled water with a direct link to Amazon has a class action lawsuit against it for carcinogens found in the product.
Beautiful app
