WNBA: Live Games & Scores

The Box Score content won’t allow the non starter player stats to be viewed. When you try to push them up to view, they start sliding up but immediately bounce back down. Quite annoying and this is a recent problem with the app. Please fix. The rest of the app seems to work well.

I love this app EXCEPT for the super-annoying pop-up ads There is no way to close them, no x to click on. Why? Oh, right! Everything must be monetized. Boo!

But the updates made this year have broken simple things. Ads everywhere interfere with viewing highlights and stats. You cannot see the stats for a game because the video prevents scrolling. Fix this soon!

This app did not give me full access to games during the season as I thought. It only gives you highlights and stats. I can get those things for free anywhere.

Trying to look at box scores has been a nightmare since the beginning of this season. The screen jumps up and down especially when I try to swipe over to the +/- stats. This wasn’t an issue during the last two seasons.

Tried to read box scores. You have to watch a rerun of the game for 10 minutes. Then I go to the box scores and that rerun keeps popping up. I close it out many times but it keeps coming up. I contacted them and they said I install it and reinstall it. It worked a week but now it is doing it again. Silly to keep uninstalling it!

The iPhone app has glitches. The app use to work great last year but this year it seems to be more unreliable. I was trying to see the box score for a game and it kept forcing me to watch a recap and when I “x” out of the recap the box score still won’t show for me. I’ve watched games through this app for years and this year has been very frustrating. Fix the app!

Can’t watch one single Indiana Fever game LIVE with this app. Practically USELESS for watching WNBA games when they’re ding played. Since I “cut the cord” to cable TV, and I don’t subscribe to Prime Video, Peacock or Paramount+ I thought that subscribing to the WNBA app would still let me see my fave team, Indiana. Boy, was I wrong! The only way I can see them is by waiting until the day after their game and watch the recording. Haven’t been able to see a single one of their games in real time. In fact, most teams are not available on the app in real time. Such a disappointment.

1. The app on tv never remembers the credentials. have to log in every time I want to watch the games. 2. Another horrible design is the automatic video play when clicking on old games just to check the box score. I feel like the purpose of the app is to get people to use it and visit it more often but since the UI is so bad, I just used ESPN app for almost everything now. You have to scroll up all the way for the box score to stay, and if you want to check the other team box score then you gotta scroll back down then switch team and scroll up again. There has gotta be a better way to design this. Last year app was good. Don’t really get why everything has to change fully, which totally ruins user experience.

Year by year there are less games to watch either because of blackouts or they send it out to another broadcast (USA, prime video, etc.) This year the WNBA app will randomly bring you back to the beginning of the game even when watching it live. Two years I would’ve recommended this app, I don’t know about now.
