User Reviews
Sports section very important and continues to be very informative.Thank you
The Comic section. Bring back ‘Liberty Meadows’. It is the funniest and they have local reference . Good work Mr. Chao. Your ads in the comic….BoRING.
I lived in Washington a few years, so I have special affinity for the area. after I left, I was really glad to have an outstanding newspaper to feed that need and also provide complete, fair news coverage. Columnists like Dana Milbank and Eugene Robinson were wonderful. Just a shame that they went MAGA. After many years I will cancel my subscription.
In this sad American chapter of oligarchs and autocrats buying, then destroying longtime news media, WaPo is one of the last bastions of free speech. While it is also at risk, I have seen no major changes in this company’s approach to getting us uncensored, unfiltered news in a timely fashion.
The reporting is excellent but the editorials are u readable right-wing, and largely contradict the factual information provided by the professional journalists. This is a ship on the verge of pulling apart, as the pro Trump billionaire owner fires the staff and strips the paper of its integrity. Heartbreaking.
Only thing worthwhile is the comics!
This paper used to be so good, but you’ve eliminated most of what I loved: fair and balanced journalism, an Opinion Section (read owner) with guts, a hometown Sports Section, and a Style Section featuring movie reviews and The Style Invitational. The paper has always excelled at feature writing, but it’s lost it’s local beat and soul. And that’s a shame.
The revamped commenting system is deeply flawed. ❌ #1. No edit button.🙈 Bizarre decision. Prevents fixing typos and removing stray pasted material. ❌ #2. No paragraph breaks.🙈 All the text gets run together and is unreadable ❌ #3. No quote feature. 🙈 That was handy as it indented the quoted text.
The Post has devolved into a compendium of articles which lack any semblance of critical analysis, or depth of thought. It ain’t the paper once associated with uncovering key factual issues either any thoughtful analysis. It’s sad, because regardless of topic WAPO once was a paper which one knew would identify key facts and then delve deeply into the how, why & what. Not anymore. Not even close. Sad indeed.
Unsubscribing after ten years because I can’t read an article without being automatically directed out of the app to safari sites or Amazon as I scroll.
Needs more independence from influencers
If you are too busy saving the world, can we have our paper back? Thanks
