Wipr 2
Description
Wipr blocks ads, popups, trackers, cookie warnings, and other nasty things that make the web slow and ugly. Websites in Safari will look clean, load fast, and stop invisibly tracking you. You’ll notice significant improvements to your battery life and data usage. Setup is a snap. The Filtr add-on extends Wipr’s blocking to all apps on your device. It acts at the network level, but unlike a VPN, it can access none of your data, and can be used in conjunction with VPNs, iCloud Private Relay, and custom DNS. Wipr’s blocklist is updated twice a week automatically, and has enhanced versions for the following languages: Bosnian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Macedonian, Malay, Montenegrin, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Wipr is a universal app: install it on all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro) with a single purchase. It’s fully accessible with VoiceOver, Voice Control, and more. Dark, Tinted, and Clear icon variants are included. Family Sharing is supported. Because it’s developed by a single independent developer and 100% funded by its users, Wipr only answers to you: no one can pay to have their ads unblocked, and there are no “acceptable ads”. This app was made with love and patience. I hope you’ll enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed designing and building it. – Kaylee Terms & Conditions: https://kaylees.site/terms-and-conditions.html EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

User Reviews
Save your $5 if you think this will block ads or popups on media streaming pages. You will be incinerating money. Doesn’t block a single thing.
After I installed Wipr2 I was unable to connect to the internet and the operating system continued trying to up-date but never finished. No application could connect to the internet and an attempt said the server was dropped. When I tried to delete using an app it would not allow itself to be completely deleted. I had to delete it my self. If you want some pain then purchase this app. I spent my hard earned money on something that is a nightmare.
When combined with Filtr it blocks absolutely everything across browsers and apps. Impressive, rivals enterprise level filtering. The family share for the Filtr extension is very nice, protects everything Apple except tvOS (would love that addition). Must have Apple security upgrade that scales extremely well with many devices and family members.
Updated from 1 to 5 stars. It seems to be working well now. Update: 6/23/26. Again, after latest update it worked for 2 days then the ads started showing up again.
Tested on numerous websites and was ineffective. Every free extension tested was more effective. It may work better on iPad or iPhone, but not subpar for desktop Safari.
Extension works well, what impressed me is I had a very specific problem with Amazon webpage that probably most wouldn’t notice. I submitted a report, and a few days later got a response that it was fixed. That’s what dealing with one person gets you. Well done
I originally left the one star review stating that the app was not doing anything and just like the title, this was absolutely a user error issue, and again I want to thank the developer for responding so quickly, you rule!
Dev (Kaylee) cares about the end user, it shows in every interaction with the extension. Everything is carefully and meticulously thought of. A+ work!
Is $30 for THE BEST ADBLOCKER (wipr 2 at $5, filtr at $25) a lot of money? For me, no. Thats less than the cost of a raspberry pi and all other components to make a pi hole. This works on my iphone AND my mac. Only thing i will say is i better get at least five years of filtr support or i'll be frustrated i didn't go for annual billing.
Wipr 2 is darn simple. Even Troubleshooting is explained in normal terms. This lady is good!
A minimalist ad blocker that proves less truly is more. The app is clean, fast, and stays out of your way. I’ve used other ad blockers that constantly throw filter update errors — this one hasn’t given me a single issue. The level of optimization is honestly remarkable. The reporting interface is simple and straightforward, and the developer support is surprisingly quick. I’ve gotten replies within the same day on more than one occasion. The only real downside is that Korean ad blocking isn’t perfect. Sites like Namu Wiki — which actively fights ad blockers — barely get filtered at all, and on major portals like Naver, ads can still slip through until you manually refresh the page. That said, for a one-time purchase, you’re getting a polished, well-built app that just works — no headaches, no frustrations. It doesn’t collect any personal data either, making it one of the more trustworthy options out there. Highly recommended.
Im not sure if im just an idiot or if it just doesn’t work. I followed the instructions and it hasn’t blocked a single ad.
