User Reviews
It’s a great app for tracking books. We enjoy the library programs through the app. I would like if there were a way to remove users from the app and also if there could be less clicks to add a book, there’s much room for better streamlining on the user interface.
This app is a great app for keeping track of your reading, and it is 100% KID FRIENDLY! You can have multiple accounts/readers on one device, which is super nice if you have multiple children. You can also connect to your child’s school and/or library! The school and library’s host challenges that encourage children to read more. You may need to meet a certain amount of minutes you read, or you may need to write a certain amount of reviews and on books to meet the challenge(s). You can also request to have a friend that is signed up on Beanstack. Over all, this is just an amazing reading log app, and I would definitely recommend!!!!
This is such a wonderful tool for logging my kid’s books and mine as well! Thank you!
Since the update on 5/25/26 all my reading sessions are gone and it did not even record the reading session I just did.
4.8 stars. Please add dark mode. I always read at night and it literally melts my eyes off every time I open Beanstack. Every other app has dark mode but not this one. AWESOME APP THO
I recently updated the app and now whenever I try to record a book session I can’t find the session and have to restart. It shows on the overview how many minutes I’ve recorded but not any of my sessions. It says I haven’t recorded any but the overview shows I do. It’s incredibly frustrating and I’ve tried deleting the book and trying again multiple times and restarting my phone. Nothing has worked. On a brighter note I really love this app usually! It’s really helpful for recording how many minutes and pages and books I read per day/week.
I love this app, and I use it year round. I love the statistics it gives, and just how simple it is. However, I just did your most recent update, and now it won’t let me see my reading sessions with any book. Whether that be in the past, or now. I have lost all of my reading sessions for every book. Without these problems, I would easily rate 5 stars. I have tried to delete the app and reinstall it, and nothing changed. Help!
App is clunky. Randomly deletes titles you have logged. Even when you log as complete you still have to fill in page numbers.
The app was already tedious to use, but I decided to use it as a method of tracking how much time I spendreading for a reading challenge I'm on this year. After the latest update, all my historical reading stats are gone. Even reading I logged after the update doesn't appear. Thankfully my stats still appear from the desktop app, but this is a pretty big error. Other than this latest issue, the app just isn't great to use. Books frequently don't appear when I try to search them for the first time to track my reading. Additionally, when manually logging reading time, the app forces you to log in minutes. Having to do math just to log my reading is annoying. The desktop site is again better here, allowing you to log in a simple hours and minutes format (for example, the website lets you enter "2 hr 15 min," while the app makes you enter "135" mins).
Not very user friendly.
