Endel: Focus & Sleep Sounds

I never leave reviews. I felt this one was a responsibility. I’ve been using Endel every night before bed for years. I use it when I really need to lock in and kick butt. Dark focus is deep progressive beats. Rainy Outside takes me back to the Philippines where I grew up (well Seattle is still rainy but you get the idea). I am ADHD late-diagnosed. This is a gift. Thank you, and if you’re hiring a crack marketer, let me know.

Your only option is to pay $200 a year first of all. Second of all, I started with the focus music and immediately it was too distracting. Apparently you can’t put everyone in a box. Deleted.

I tried the “free trial” and I always make sure to cancel right after I sign up just in case. With this app, I checked in the Apple App Store and there was no subscription so I thought it was fine. Instead I got charged $119 TWICE. I sent an email they said I wasn’t eligible for a refund. Will attempt to chargeback my credit card but this is a poor way of doing business. There’s a Reddit thread about this scam too.

We are officially in the top 1% of users, according to Endel. In fact, we use the app more than music these days - house, car, Apple Watch, relaxing in the yard and at the lake. Our 12week old golden, Cedar, also thrives on it…puts her to sleep, keeps her asleep, relaxing during the day, etc. It’s a wonderful alternative for relaxing the spirit and mind. I had no idea. Love it!

The advertisement shows an “8D” song which is just bilateral audio and a woman singing. The problem is they don’t play songs. They play an assortment of beats that you can adapt. I also selected the “1 week free trial” on May 26th and on May 30th $19.99 for this app went through.

I was super excited by the ad on IG that featured a woman singing with a binaural effect. There is nothing like that in the app. There is nothing in this app I can’t find on YouTube for free. It really seems like you’re preying on folks with ADHD by getting them to sign up for the free trial because we’re the demographic most likely to forget to cancel it before being charged the $130+ annual fee.

I’d give this app 5 stars if not for the annoying fact that it constantly starts playing when I connect to my car. Even if the app is closed.

I never purchased this and it charged me 119$ and also sent it out to all of my friends in my contacts. It is a scam. I never viewed or purchased it. I cancelled it immediately after it fraudulently charged my card and it won’t give money back and said I’m stuck for a year!!

Just really wish it was a Monty subscription.

I found Endel when it first came out, 2017 or so. I struggled with technical issues on my ancient phone but loved when it worked. While off grid in the woods for 2 weeks, this became my soundtrack on my iphone 12 mini, which I still use. At that point endel worked offline, with the most basic sounds free and no 10 minute limit. It was incredible and non-invasive in the natural space. I also used it at night on low volume to warn the cougars and bears of my presence. I didn't die! Yay! I finally purchased a year of it now, in 2026, because I need it more than ever being finally diagnosed with adhd and autism. I love focus, move and sleep-I love the way it supports my odd hours or focus and helps me rest easily for sleep. When I turn it off, I almost feel like I was being physically pushed and then, like the push is gone when I turn it off. It actually supports focus, aligns with neuroplasticity experiments and is simply my fave thing to listen to for all activities! It's expensive and I wish it was more accessible for lower income people. But even the free version is super helpful. LOVE IT!

It was the love at the first sight… And the first sound… 5 minutes were all it had taken before the Lifetime became a reality . The highly polished interface, the incredible visuals and soundscapes… All played the role in decision making! But , the instant responses from the app support ( that some reviewers had comically classified as “nonexistent” !!!) helped to “seal” the deal! Thank you, Arto!!! Overall, it's a good app with multiple different types of sounds to help you study, do office work, relax, etc. it's a lot like listening to soundtracks on YouTube. Their claim that this is science based is either hilarious or ridiculous, maybe both. I subscribed for one year but will not be renewing my subscription as I just don't find the value is worth it. Way, way too many ads trying yo upsell you. I am already a Premium subscriber and they keep pitching 50% off lifetime subscription and that's just not gonna happen in the ads are super annoying because they happen every time I open the app.
