I didn’t get to really experience the app but the reason was the subscription maybe you could like add a free part to get to read some classics because i really love playaways but i don’t have any so i wish i could use this but i gave it three stars because of other reviews
I love speechify because it’s the best app that I ever heard on the internet

The app has old people books only and no manga no fiction do not recommend!
I’ll gladly remove my review if customer support fixes the issue, but I downloaded the app and tried it out the first day. Wasn’t something I would use so I cancelled the trial via iPhone settings. Today I got hit for $147 charge for a years subscription. I REALLY hope someone can reverse this charge without making it a huge hassle.

It would be good if it weren’t for the fact that the only free voices you get are the most robotic and annoying voices to ever exist, and I’m not paying for the 200+ voices.
Don’t trust these people. Don’t reply to customer service inquiry. Ad is misleading. “Free bulk title” purchase is not free.
They don’t have an option to cancel subscription on you phone. There is no number to call. Only way I was able to contact someone was through chat box. Only got someone to respond offering a discount but I had explained that I no longer need their service at this time. They had renewed my subscription anyway and I have not been able to get in contact with anyone for a full refund or to help me cancel it since I don’t have access to a computer. When I need a text to speech service again I will not go through speechify
This company intentionally tries to sell you the entire time you’re on the app. They flaunt all these other pretty decent narrators that don’t sound like a chopped up robot. So if you go to the completely free option, you’re gonna get this lousy robot you’re gonna fall asleep too. Meanwhile, they want over 100 and something dollars to have Snoop Dogg and all these other people and try to entice you on $25 to have access to their whole book library. It’s a great app with a great idea but something that could simply charge the advertisement companies to throw an ad in every 10 pages or so. In order for you to use all the other voices had me convinced for a second. I wanted this app, but I have enough subscriptions in my life.

中学生です。自分の書いた小説を読み上げ機能を使って聴こうと思いダウンロードしました。日本語版はお金を払わないと聴けなかったので、無料体験に入ってすぐ抜けようとしたのですが、親管理のスマホですので自分で解約ができず、しかも解約しないと2万円を親のクレカから落とされるという。自分の確認不足と、親の管理不足で起こったことですが、対象年齢が4歳以上ということになっているので、自分みたいな確認をしないで無料体験に入ってしまう人が増えないように対策をして欲しいです。読み上げ機能はまあまあよかったです。the aiという感じでしたね。「は？」という文字を（わ？）と読んだり、簡単な漢字の訓読み音読みを間違えたりなどしていましたが、声のレパートリーにおいて、多言語、多声であったりする点に置いては素晴らしいなと思いましたね。
