User Reviews
I am a newsprint junky! I have been subscribing to and reading newspapers for over 50 years. I currently subscribe to five dailies including two locals, the NYT, WSJ, and the FT. Gradually, over time, the FT has become my first print read in the morning and my last on-line read at night. The FT provides unfiltered global breaking news and in-depth long form articles. The OpEd page columnists are thoughtful and provocative. FT Weekend is my guilty pleasure, having largely supplanted the Sunday NYT as my best read of the week. Keep up the great work!
Horribly intrusive ads in the iPad version. Ridiculous for a product that is charging me $700+ per year. Considering to cancel my subscription
FT won’t provide support either. Worse one can’t cancel a subscription . One must protest against credit card. May as well subscribe to Barrons.
The FT, not solely among the English press but clearly the leader, puts the American press to shame. Reporting uncomfortable US national topics that the NYT, WSJ, WP etc. hesitate to mention for fear of retribution, not just from government but from a blinkered populace, the FT maintains the clearest ethic of any mainstream English language daily.
Loads quickly, easy to navigate, not glitchy, and love how it downloads and saves the latest edition so you can do plenty of reading without a connection.
The voice version stops on occasion App goes back to home page after u switch back from different app
I pay a lot of money for my FT subscription, and yet the amount of advertisements I see is obscene - like I am using a free version. The recent app updated are the worst and feel like doubled the number of ads displayed in articles.
What separates the FT from many other newspapers is that they provide the facts, write clearly and typically omit any political bias in their reporting.
A miserable app. Did anyone actually think about how this thing might work? Today it wouldn’t load. Just spun. Then when I tried to delete an old issue, it wouldn’t go back to where I could read something. Deleted it , re-installed but same idiotic result. Hire some functional IT people!
Sometimes the most basic are missing as if developers don’t have a usability concern. In a media platform the least you can have is a BACK button instead of losing your tracks and having to go back to home page
FT has one of the best user interface(s) . I like the ease with which I can follow my favorite journalists. The portfolio interface is not intuitive (for me). That is a nuisance,
