The payout takes too long
I don’t like how they do the tips on Shipt ! I have had where I don’t get tip and it says estimated tip so they make it think that you’re going to get a tip and then you don’t end up getting one. I think that’s extremely rude and everyone that does Shipt puts time into this so wrong to not tip .
Love the app love shopping for the customers especially the ones who reply back. I don’t like how customers can rate the shopper but shoppers can’t rate the customers. I don’t like how when the app messes up shoppers have to uninstall the app and reinstall the app again also have to log out and log back in. Toggle WiFi on and off. The customer service is sometimes annoying and helpless. When I first started this app it was so much better than it is now. I just think while shopping and having app issues is so frustrating and then to top it off to do all those steps just to get the app up again is time consuming and just holds you back from trying to shop and deliver “ON TIME” to top it off while dealing with all that then customers want to keep adding to thier order.
I consistently have issues with this app. I love to shop for Shipt, but the app can seriously improve.
I’ve worked on multiple shopping platforms, and Shipt is by far one of the most frustrating for personal shoppers. Unlike other shopper apps, Shipt provides virtually no guidance on where to find products in the store. Competitors often provide aisle, section, rack, and shelf locations that help shoppers work efficiently. Shipt leaves shoppers wandering the store searching for items, wasting valuable time. To make matters worse, the customer-facing app often lists products and brands that don’t actually exist in the store or are outdated. When shoppers can’t find items that aren’t there, customers frequently blame us and leave poor ratings for circumstances completely outside our control. Shipt expects shoppers to provide excellent service but doesn’t provide the tools needed to succeed. Better store mapping, accurate inventory information, and improved product listings would greatly improve the experience for both shoppers and customers.
Used to be a way for me to earn extra income but now I can’t even get on to claim orders because of the shopper capacity is too high for my NYC area. It’s annoying.
I had a frustrating experience working with Shipt. My account was deactivated due to late deliveries, even though the delays were caused by things completely outside of my control, like heavy traffic, long checkout lines, stores not having enough bagging stations available, and unrealistic timing expectations built into the app. Despite communicating and still completing every single order, delivering everything correctly, and never stealing or mishandling items, the system showed no flexibility for real-world situations drivers deal with every day. What makes this worse is that Shipt seems to prioritize strict timing metrics over the actual quality and honesty of the driver. Their estimated completion times are unrealistic because they don’t properly factor in the time it takes to drive to the store, shop for items, wait in checkout lines, bag everything, and then drive to the customer — all while forcing drivers to stay within a strict delivery window. On top of that, drivers can’t start too early or too late because the app may remove or release the order entirely. It creates an impossible situation where drivers are pressured from every angle, even when they are doing everything they can. I also appealed the deactivation and was denied, despite the fact that all orders were still delivered successfully and there were no issues involving theft, missing items, or dishonesty. The only issue was being late due to circumstances outside of my control. Drivers should not be punished for traffic, crowded stores, or delays caused by the platform’s unrealistic expectations. Overall, the lack of support, fairness, and understanding for drivers was extremely disappointing. Gig workers already deal with unpredictable conditions every day, and Shipt needs a system that accounts for real-life obstacles instead of automatically penalizing drivers who are genuinely trying to do good work.
If you are the shopper then oh hell yeah is this App worth it. If you are the driver…well then you’re miserable… 60-120 minutes per order to complete to make $15.00… GREAT DEAL for the shopper…but as for me as a driver…I’ll look elsewhere. I literally just received a $20 cash tip delivering Topper’s Pizza. DO NOT DRIVR FOR THIS APP. IT’S TOO MUCH INVOLVEMENT AND TOO LITTLE COMPENSATION. GARBAGE
Way too many shoppers and bundles are in separate towns. This used to be something I could do to earn money and put food on the table for my family. However, lately I can’t even fill my car with gas. The bundles are spaced so far apart that I’m going to two different cities in order to deliver one order. These have to be organized better and more efficiently.
I recently was a driver and I never got paid my 1st check. However being told it was going to be reprocessed into another bank account because I used another one then the one I used. They kicked me off the Shipt app for having a 89% then to add on top of that. When they deactivated my account they emailed me an said when they tried to reprocess my first check which I feel they never tried they said “reprocess took to long” but it didn’t take long to give me my 37$ the day I made before they kicked me off Memorial Day. Terrible company. And I want my 261$ I been emailing them back to back to back an no response. I want my money! You cannot take people hard earned money especially the wear an tear I put on my car come on now!
