Verizon Family

This family app unable to link Gizmo watch and everytime ending up with an error saying unable to pair becz its already paired with other app. Even though I already deleted the watch from GizmoApp. Horrible experience and so frustrating. I tried 10 times till now. Customer shouldnt get any email until new migrated system is fully ready. Not expected this from VERIZON.

We’re forced to this app from Gizmo with half the features. When logging into Verizon family, most of the time the verification code doesn’t get sent to the phone. Even when I select send again, nothing gets sent. Frustrated.

We were forced to transition to the Verizon Family app this week and what a travesty this has been. Whatever the motivation was is a mystery to me. Features aren’t working and I can’t seem to get Verizon’s tech support to help. Whatever VP made this decision should give me a call. Love to speak to that lackwitted smooth brained idiot.

We only started using this app because we were forced to with the closing of gizmo hub app. It has been nothing but problems trying to get everyone set up on it to be able to text the gizmo watches. The app locked my husband out spent an hour on the phone with Verizon trying to figure it out. Now other family members who don’t have Verizon are having problems even getting it to load. Phone is up to date app is up to date. They try to create an account and the app just spins like it’s trying to do something but never does even after wait 30 min for it. We tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. Same thing. I tried removing them and adding them back sending a new invite with a new link still not able to create the account to get in. I wish Verizon would have just left the gizmo app. It was so much easier. Especially since we won’t be using the app for anything else other than to text the gizmo watches. So frustrated with this change!

Have been using the app for 1 day and the location for my sons gizmo has been far off from where he is. Even holding the watch in my hand with my phone and the locations are not near each other

This app is awful. It took away the functionality of the gizmo hub app and buried the useful features under different menus. It’s a horrible downgrade.

Can’t even connect my child’s gizmo watch

It’s not easy to navigate for gizmo watches. GizmoHub was so much simpler and straight to the point. What used to take one step to get to, now takes 3.

The forced changeover from the Gizmo app has been an unmitigated disaster. The Gizmo app was easy in, easy out; you knew exactly where to go for messaging and location services, and it was easy to download the app for family non-Verizon users so they could be call and text Gizmo users. 0/5, would not recommend.

This app is a horrific trade for those who use Gizmo. Verizon has a LOT of kinks to work out before it’s up to the Gizmo’s level (which wasn’t great). Location lags, no school mode, too much advertising for basic needs, etc.

This app glitched to the point that I had to completely refresh my son’s gizmo, wipe it clean, and start over losing all of his contacts because it was stuck on school mode! Bring back the gizmo app.

I had to switch to this to continue to manage my son’s gizmo watch. We set it up so that family members could see each other’s locations, but disabled all the other features like driving insight. However twice now I have gotten a notification about a summary of my driving. Even though it was a high score and said I was driving well this feature should be disabled. If I click on it in the app it says disabled. If I click on the summary notification it brings me to the app and shows me everywhere I drove and gives me all the information about my drives. Why is it collecting this data when I explicitly shut this feature off? I had to give it precise location permission so I know it’s tracking me constantly and the ~7% battery usage on days I’ve never opened the app let me know that it sure is. But driving when I tell it not to is a little too far. Why give the option to shut off the feature if you can’t shut it off?
