Worth the 9 bucks

I build stairs for a living and along with that I install balcony railing. I've been looking for an app to make baluster spacing faster and more accurate. I read the positive and negative reviews and decided to try this app. I love it. As a test I did a short balcony rail with iron balusters. I entered the data, followed the layout dimensions and it worked perfectly. Quick, simple and accurate. Thank you.

Put in exact measurements and used there centers,they started getting further off and last picket was off

It only works with balusters less than 1 inch width

Perfect for what I do. I am in the steel fabrication industry and for my railing pickets this is perfect. You might have to fudge the last picket a tiny bit sometimes but for what I need it is quick and easy.

If I could change the baluster measurements from center to befor or after this app would be way better. I have to place a block every time I want to use this app or everything takes twice as long to do. If the app dosent improve I won’t use it anymore.

The icon is misleading. It does not give measurements for tread surface mount as the icon depicts. Cannot input horizontal rake inputs to spit out where on tread to mark centerline for baluster.

I need the place where the sides of the spindle drop, not its center. Makes it much harder to put down.

Since all of the 5 star reviews for this app are obviously fake, I thought I would be the first to give a “real” review. The good... The visual representation of the handrail is nice as it lets you see exactly what you are entering, but personally I don’t like the number input method. It is intuitive, well laid out and easy to use. The not so good...Only gives you the centers of the balusters...only gives you two types of handrail options... maximum spacing is limited to 12”....200” is the maximum run which is somewhat limiting........1/16” is the smallest increment you can use which is useless if you want to cut a pile of fillets.... $7.99? Seriously? There are much better baluster apps out there at a fraction of the cost. On its own I would give this app 2 or 3 stars because it is a bit limited but since the developer posted a bunch of bogus reviews to make it look better than it really is, I figured I would give it one star.
