As we are wandering the U.S., we find ourselves using OnX to find incredible (often free) camping spots on government land. Once we’re set up, we use it again for ratings and info on the trails we want to explore. It’s always been accurate and easy to use. It’s also great to be able to download info when we’re goingto be outside reliable cell range. Finally, when we’ve encountered problems, OnX staff have been very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
Excellent App and extremely useful to anyone off-roader.
After encountering so many advertisement campaigns, I finally decided to give this app a try. I was hoping that the misery of the performance of regular navigating apps during offloading would be over with this. Unfortunately, the app performance was not just as miserable, but even worse than mainstream navigating app. During freeway driving, it constantly wanted me to take the off ramps only to immediately take the on ramp and get back on freeway. I was hoping to get to bear lake near Tahoe in California. The app suggested that the road and trail are all open. But right off the highway 89, the Barker Pass Road gate was closed! Hours of planning and driving got wasted just like that. I’ll cancel my subscription. What is the actual use for this app if it’s gonna be like other on-road apps, but even worse?! The next day I called Lake Tahoe Basin Management and they confirmed that the closure is the normal yearly schedule and was not even due to an emergency. App was stating that it’s open!
This app works great! Customer service is incredible too!
App is great for tracking and who owns property. Support team is also great if needed.
Missing the features I wanted from an offroad app. Will not pay more.
You have to pay for anything worthwhile on this app. Lame. Let’s stop gatekeeping 😬
It’s a long survey to collect person information, then they ask for money.

Nothing works or is very accurate except land owner info (thats wildly out of date) otherwise this app doesnt do anything at this point onx as a whole just seems to be a scam none of your features on any app works how it’s advertised and is poorly managed.
