Acme Weather

To say this is just Darksky reborn would be a bit of a miss. The spirit of the team who brought the world the best weather app to grace humanity has done it again in a whole new flavor that serves the same purpose, inform you of the weather as accurately as possible. Two stand out features: I love setting up a custom wind/rain alert for my town to know when the flag should be taken in. Also, the alternate predictions for the day has saved my behind more times that I can count. 15/10 for this no nonsense weather app. I just am not a fan of the name.

Great forecasts, and visualizations. Been missing this since DarkSky’s run ended.

This has a great overview with tons of information at my fingertips. It is hyper local and has helped me avoid bad storms in time when the others had a vague blob on the radar.

I bought a subscription for this because I loved Dark Sky before it was bought and buried (I believe by Apple). I dunno if it’s the federal cuts to funding for weather predictions in the US. But I’m writing this standing in a rain that Acme says isn’t happening. This is quite frequent. I don’t see it any more accurate than the many free options out there. I want Dark Sky back!!

Great app but needs better widgets and the watch complications are weak. Needs a “conditions”.

It’s a lot of work to quickly find details for the day. The graphs are nice, but you have to change what you’re looking at for each detail and scroll to the time to get details when there are times I just want to see a quick table of all the details for the day by hour

I regret my enthusiasm for buying the ‘Dark Sky’ clarity. And what happened to the more specific time when rain would start. At the end of the day it’s either nice or cold or wet for most of us. Make this easier. Not all weather conditions are equal. If you’re looking for the amazing g DARK SKY this ain’t it. Yet.

(Should have written this Review earlier… ) The wait was excruciating, the Struggle to find a like suitable replacement for Dark Sky was a Long wait. But The Dark Sky OG’s are back Better than ever. ACME WEATHER is a Worthy Successor. I really dig the updated look and the few New features. Apple gutted some of the D/S’s original tech with their Frankenstein approach to Apple’s Weather app and ruined the whole experience, as well as somehow becoming often Inaccurate in the process. ACME Weather is both satisfying to use and reliable, all while presenting just how’s it’s done.

Dark Skies is back babyyy!

I really like the varied potential weather trend forecasts which helps me take into account multiple scenarios.
