Skratch it! transforms your iOS device into mobile turntable / mixer / loop player combo, allowing you to instantly experience limitless possibilities right at your fingertips. ・Seamless scratch experience・ Thanks to the implementation of a highly responsive virtual deck and a semi-automated mixer’s crossfader, it is possible to achieve both precision and finesse of performance even for beginners. The mixer section offers eight, carefully selected, crossfader movement patterns that are automatically synced with the tempo of background music playback. These can be easily combined together by the swipe gestures, allowing to create endless combinations of the scratching sounds. The app comes with a selection of six different sound sets, containing most of the all-time classic samples together with some fresh beeps, squelches and rough noises! Eager to cut and bend your own sounds? So this app is ill. Importing your own samples is amazing, however they need to be either recorded or converted before rhey actually load, which forced me to purchase another app to do so. So now i have to record it in another app, export it, import it to the converter app, convert it, then export it, then load it into scratchit. So its a pain in the ayeeee. But, being able to scratch, digitally, on an iphone or ipad is truly cool. I sure hope they up the format to the default ios recording format, because ios will not even record the only format it reads. Kind of shooting itself in the foot, imo. Truly a dope app though and i hope it gets better, which is why i purchased and support it.
I hope it has an update for auv3 AND midi mapping! To be able to use with a midi controller for more actual feel, midi map the fader cut buttons knobs and platter 🙏😁✌️
When I feel like cutting over my Djay mixes this is amazing. Please ad some collaboration with Djay so the tempo sync between the two is automatic. Thank you for creating this!
…but a few things are missing for this to be the best scratch dj app. The good: Skratch presets….cant say enough regarding how awesome and realistic they are. The ability to load your own samples sets this apart from the other apps in a big way. Being able to record both beat and scratches is great but to be able to record scratches only even with a beat playing is what makes this a valuable tool for creation The bad: it would have been nice to be able to upload our own beats. It also would have been great to create or load different scratch patterns besides the ones already there. The import function for samples is not user friendly and it is annoying that the sample must be 16bit 44.1 kHz wav file format otherwise it won’t get recognized. If you could do something about those things, that’d be awesome.
This is fire.. I just wish it had more functions like being able to loop any songs
I’ve always wanted to tinker with a DJ setup. Now, i understand it’s all digital but the app makes you feel like you’re doing a great job. There’s loads of ways to convert sounds on your phone with other apps to make it a wav file. I’m looking forward to using this to scratch over my own beats. I’ve got an SP404mk2 with audio jack plugged into the external. And I have a nice fun portable little setup and this right here is my final piece of the puzzle. I’m beyond happy with this and look forward to what the future has in store for this app. Amazing work!
I love this app! The fader settings are so dope! Thank you for updating it to 8 seconds sample time. I dint even need it to be Auv3 as I'll never need to save the state of the turntable. I do wish I could work in split screen. The ability to change the pitch would make this perfect. Thank you!
Can Skratch it be made into an AUV3 Effect Plugin there’s not any full blown DJ Turn Table effect plugins it would be a key step for helping artist making there mixes go better it would compliment the DJ effect plugins
If not AUV3 support, being able to add our own beats would be amazing. The dev already added the ability to use our own samples, so crossed fingers. Left handed mode would be rad too.
It would be great to record samples in the app. I’ve tried multiple times to import and I either get some crazy noise or nothing. Otherwise this app is amazing!
