It’s basically VLC for Apple Watch it is absolutely incredible. Sorting for Artists, Album, playlist and everything! This app is one of the only apps for watch that has local music and video support better then Apple Music and TV and album sorting and sequential listing based on “file name” rather than just. “Track title”. It even syncs with Apple Music or not it’s your choice ! This developer also listens to user feedback. Also this developer makes a great epic epub app for watch too! I would use this instead apples default junk due to the VLC nature of the app. Get this app it’s the best music video player on watchOS.

I’m trying to transfer a 500MB video from ios photos app, and it never transfers to the watch, even when the loading circle stops, nothing shows on the watch. Even using the compression function to get it down to less than 200MB, the video still will not transfer to the watch, even after 48 hours. Transferring the same file via a Mac through the files interface for an iphone in finder, does work.

This would be a great app if I could actually listen to my music in the order I want it in. It’s either ascending, date, or file size. This makes no sense.

Out 3.99 doesn’t seem to work at all. Tried a million things and I am over it.

Best $4 ever spent. One of, if not, the only app out there that allows playback of both music AND video through the watch speakers. The best part? It supports watch OS 8! Meaning that even the older watches get to benefit from this. Thank you! This truly changes the game for me when it comes to listening to music

能不能在手表端添加一个自定义移动歌曲与视频顺序得功能啊？每次传完文件后 在手表上只能凭借文件混乱的上传顺序翻来翻去 又不能调顺序 现有的排序只能按照日期大小之类的排 没有任何自定义空间 能自定义排序的只有歌单顺序 着实看不下去了 希望能早日改进

Update months later: I still love this app! I have lots of music on my watch. Couldn’t be happier. I really dislike having to add mp3s to the Apple Music app then transfer them to the music app on the watch. Simply too many steps. This Player for Watch app is amazing game changer. I can transfer music from my Dropbox and google drive to the app, then let the app move it to my watch. Transfer is fast and stable. The app on the watch is simple and has big buttons to hit while exercising. It also integrates with the workout app on the watch—left swipe brings up the music player and the controls there will change songs playing on this app. I haven’t tested the video yet. Overall I love this app, best money I’ve spent on a watch app. ONE TIP: if the app on the phone doesn’t sync with the watch, restart both the phone and the watch, and syncing will happen.

Look, I think your app is cool, but I can’t use it I would, but I can’t use it with my iPad no matter what I try it won’t let me sync to my watch I really would appreciate if you could respond and make it so my watch would sync to my iPad cause that would be an absolute game changer so I’d really appreciate it if you could make it so my iPad works syncing to my watch because if you could, I could rise it to five stars🤩. so far I can’t use it and it’s driving me insane and I know there’s probably gonna be a thing saying developer response and could you please try and make it iPad compatible to watch because I haven’t found a really good way to actually listen to music or videos I’m 12 BTW🤓 I just started middle school and the bus is boring enough without any music I have some headphones and when you respond and hopefully fix it i’ll finally be able to not be bored on the bus anymore i’m gonna start this review cause I can go on and on why I need this app so I’m just gonna end it with please please respond and fix the issue with the iPad and watch compatibility.

After struggling with the outdated iWatch Videos app, which hasn’t been updated in ages and recently stopped working altogether, I’m thrilled to have found Player for Watch. This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for—it does everything you’d expect and does it flawlessly. The setup is simple: I can load both videos and music straight to my Apple Watch, and playback is smooth and reliable. The interface is polished, intuitive, and clearly designed with care. Best of all, the app is regularly updated, so I feel confident that it will keep working for a long time to come. For only $4, it’s absolutely worth it. Compared to my frustrating experience with older apps, Player for Watch feels like a breath of fresh air. If you want to take your video and music library on the go with your Apple Watch, I highly recommend this app!

I like this as a means to download or convert my already owned media & music library to my watch as I download the song for offline play….or just whenever I want really. It doesn’t require a subscription with Apple Play Store nor does it let you use iTunes or integration within Apple Muisc. Any streaming service is said to work just fine around here but it’s just not likely.

Seems to be a great app otherwise, but it would be awesome if standalone watches would be supported. Since those watches can’t be paired with an iPhone you can never transfer files to the watch. It would be nice if an additional transfer method was added via Wi-Fi similar to what the app Cluster files does so it can work for standalone watches.
