I’m studying overseas and some shows from back home wouldn’t load. After connecting to a server in my country, they started playing without buffering every few minutes. Took a couple tries to find the fastest location, but once set it’s been pretty steady.
Some apps were restricted on my local network at home due to ISP filtering. After turning this on, everything loaded normally again. I’m not super technical, so I appreciated that I didn’t have to tweak a bunch of complicated settings.
I travel a lot for work and sometimes my shows are blocked in certain countries. Turned this on in my hotel room and was able to watch my usual streaming apps without messing with settings. The speed was steady enough for HD without buffering.
Used it while waiting for a flight and connected to the airport WiFi. I usually avoid logging into anything on public networks, but this made me feel a lot safer checking emails and banking apps. Setup was quick and it stayed connected the whole time.
I bought a lifetime license before the name switched and it was good for a couple years then lately the service got lousy, slow speeds, and it does not cover the ip address BUT, they made sure they can make money by selling you what was INITIALLY THERE.

Avoid at all costs. Also even when you cancel they still charge you and refuse to refund. I have all the emails showing cancellation (this vpn was garbage from day one) and still years later they charge me again and refuse to refund. I’m filing with the BBB and disputing this charge with Amex, no surprise this company is the worst and their all was garbage. Much better options out there
It says “7-day free trial” but immediately charges your credit card.
My initial subscription was through the App Store. Every year after renewing automatically through the App Store, I have to contact the company to reactivate my subscription. This year no one responded to my inquiry after two days so I cancelled and went with Nord VPN. I am not happy to have already paid and will likely not receive a refund for the annual subscription already paid. By the way, I receive an email begging me not to cancel my subscription but not addressing the earlier support request.
I was an Ivacy VPN customer and had a lifetime subscription. After PureVPN took over, they changed the terms of my lifetime subscription to 5 years and claimed that's standard in the tech industry. In tech industry, a lifetime subscription refers to the lifetime of the product, not 2 years or 5 years. Contacted their support and they said after porting from Ivacy to PureVPN, they removed lifetime subscription customers from being able to renew subscription free of charge. Stay away from this VPN provider and choose something more reputable.
What I said above, doesn’t even do what’s it supposed to do, and has many viruses in this app that contain malware that will attack your phone, caution- stay away!!
I had already canceled my subscription, but they still charged me for another full year just one month after it expired. And now they refuse to refund my money. This is such a robbery company. They spend so much money on promotion, but then secretly take your money like this. More importantly, I couldn't access their website or app. That’s why I canceled the subscription in the first place.
