iShala is an Indian music mobile app that provides flawless accompaniment for classical music practice, be it vocal, instrumental or rhythmic. It comes in 2 Editions: Standard and Pro (previously known as Premium). It features: • 6 Tanpuras (10 on Pro Edition) • 2 Tablas (3 on Pro Edition) • a Swarmandal • a Vibraphone (Pro Edition only) • a Harmonium • 3 Manjeeras (6 on Pro Edition) all fully customisable in practice sessions that can then be loaded on demand. It effectively replaces a tabla machine, a lehra player and an electronic tanpura. It is therefore an ideal tool for anyone practicing Indian classical music, or just wishing to jam along virtual Indian musicians on any other musical style. iShala includes over 60 rhythmic cycles, melodies in more than 110 ragas and 7 different tempos. You can also create your own ragas and fine-tune each of their notes at micro-tones (or shrutis) level. Possible combinations are thus nothing short of endless! iShala initially comes in Standard Edition, but you can upgrade it to Pro Edition through an In-App purchase option. These are one-time payments; whatever the edition you choose, you can use the app forever. Standard Edition has all the features you need for your riyaaz, and more. But Pro Edition adds some really exciting functionality like: • pitch correction: iShala detects the note you are currently singing, along with a coloured meter highlighting whether you are right on pitch or not. Why is the speed multiplier not working?
Tabla in this app sounds much more natural than iTabla pro app. Thanks for this app. It is well worth it. But it still cannot match absolute natural sound of Riyaz studio app that is unfortunately available only on windows. I request developers to please listen to Riyaz studio on windows and replicate the same natural sound.
After latest update I am facing trouble to get sound on my external speaker from this app. Please sort this issue
It seems like at one point you had it. Why would you remove the plugin functionality?
Audio plays well on phone with Bluetooth speaker . However when Ishala app is launched the speakers disconnect. Seen on iPhone 12 and 13pro with iOS 17
I love the app It’s just that if I change just 1 setting the app crashes I am so tired of it and it makes it like I wasted 13 dollars for this
All is well just application crashed very frequently.
The app is handy for doing riyaz no doubt, but for the price which you’re charging people for buying this app, it needs a lot of work for iOS platform. It keeps crashing everytime a user tries to change any settings. There is no point in spending $10 for premium on top of the $13 for the basic download of the app if it fails to stay open while doing riyaz. Please work on updating this app for iOS platform.
I am happy with the app for practice. It would be great if I could open my google doc on the side to view notes etc. Thank you for making this wonderful app!
