Rediscover your music. Playback spins your Apple Music library on a dial and resurfaces the songs and playlists you'd forgotten you loved. SONGS An endless rotation drawn from your own library. A bespoke algorithm blends genre lineage, tempo, and sonic similarity to walk from one track to the next — prioritising the songs you've played most and those that have been in your library longest. Every queue is saved to History, so you can keep the playlists you love. PLAYLISTS You've got good taste; Playback brings it to the fore. The Playlists tab spins a dial through your Apple Music playlists and lands on one at random. Your collection, reshuffled, with none of the deciding. DESIGN Build a playlist by drawing its shape. Sketch an energy curve — from glacial calm up to full intensity — and Playback fills it with songs that rise and fall to match. HANDS-FREE Every mode answers to your voice. Ask Siri to make a playlist, design one by mood, play something at random, or save what's playing to your library. Tap a Control Center button to start the music without unlocking your phone. It all runs on Shortcuts, so you can wire Playback into routines of your own. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts. No tracking. No subscription. Your music library stays on your device, between you and Apple Music. Playback requires an Apple Music subscription.

Playback now works fully offline — without a connection, every mode sticks to the songs you've downloaded, so the dial only ever lands on something you can play. New • Offline mode keeps your gems, playlists and designed runs playable wherever you are — no signal needed. • Press-and-hold or right-click any song to see the energy and BPM Playback detected, and override detected values. • A new Library Health card shows at a glance how much of your library has been analysed. • Your song analysis now syncs across your devices via iCloud, so a new iPhone or a reinstall skips re-analysing everything. Still completely private: no accounts, no tracking. Improved • "How Playback Works" now shows your real library and candidate counts, not estimates. • The filter panel warns you when your filters get too narrow to surface good songs. • Smoother dial settling, and tidier title transitions. • Spin the dial with a two-finger trackpad swipe on iPad. • New setting to turn haptics off. Fixed • Imported and local songs now play more reliably on Mac. • Various UI fixes. • Updated App Store screenshots, plus minor refinements.
