Welcome to the BetterMaps ZooMap app, Cincinnati Zoo version. Simple, fast and fun. Our app makes everyone’s day at the zoo better. Your phone got you to the zoo, now use it to show you around once you’re inside! Get instant directions to animals, restaurants, rides and attractions, bathrooms and water fountains. Our interactive map guides you to where you want to go. Don’t use those paper maps, they are not eco-friendly and they are difficult to read - Our mapping works even if you don't have a signal (web-based maps can't do that). ZooMap is not affiliated with the Cincinnati Zoo, but we love zoos and what they do for the community. When our CEO saw people enter the zoo and rush to a poorly executed wall map or try to navigate using outdated paper maps that are wasteful and not very eco-friendly. He knew we could help. Our goal is to increase your fun, while saving your time (and trees). Tap on screen icons, use the search bar or open main menu to find animals, food, rides and attractions – even bathrooms and water fountains on those hot days. Soon, you will be able to receive notifications concerning feeding times, ride closures or any other up to the minute information you need to have the best time possible in the zoo. ZooMap Features SAVE PARKING SPACE - Upon arrival you can save your parking location and BetterMaps will bring you right back to where you parked at the end of the day. GET TO KNOW THE ANIMALS - Use our menus to see pics, learn about the animals; then get mapped right to them. GET DIRECTIONS VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE IN THE ZOO - Find Animals, Exhibits, Rides, Restaurant and shopping, then click the MapMe walker icon. You will see how far and approximate time to walk there. Click Go and our live map will bring you to your destination. Veer off course and BetterMaps will adapt in real time. BE IN THE KNOW (ONLY IF ZOO PROVIDES THIS INFORMATION) - Receive notifications updating you on ride and animal closures - Receive discounts from surrounding businesses FOR BUSINESS OWNERS: MALLS, ZOOS, PARKS, MUNICIPALITIES, AMUSEMENT BetterMaps takes maps to a whole new level – the micro-level. Easy to navigate, worked great!
App was great - worked well and gave directions to all locations just like Google maps does. Can’t wait to use again.
Looks like they updated the map - all location seem to be right. Had no probs, great app.
You get no more info from it than you do from the signs in the zoo--because it's just some schlomos uploading zoo maps. Look at the Version text--it says Omaha. Are you in Omaha? I'm not.
Map is out of date. Went on 5/25/2023 and the map was not current. Had to search for specific animals for a school field trip and some animals were not listed and could not be searched - the Komodo dragon was not listed at all. We followed the map to the Arctic fox but the enclosure no longer existed. Same for the polar bears. We had to ask zoo employees for assistance several times. A positive though - It was nice that the map showed you what direction to face, and once it’s all up to date, I think it’ll be a 5 star program.
I purchased this app because of the ‘interactive map’. Map had very little information and did not show locations that I searched for
This app is terrible, and you don't even find out until after you pay for it! There are irritating icons indicating food, exhibit, etc which largely-obscure the map so you aren't able to see an overview of the map when zoomed out. When zooming in, there are some sections of the zoo on the map that are blank, but in real life there are trails. Because all the icons block the overview of the zoo, you can click on the menu, select an exhibit, and "navigate" to it. However, it doesn't give you directions, the color of the line you're supposed to follow is almost the same color as the background, and there are no easy to follow waypoints. Also, the app of the zoo map is not the same as the physical maps at the zoo itself. This was the biggest waste of $0.99 I have ever spent!
If you have the thought- I’ll just pay the dollar to get the map, don’t. There are labeled banners over every point of interest to the point you can’t actually view a zoomed out version of the map and identify where you want to go. They aren’t as bad if you’re zoomed in on your current spot but then you can’t see where you want to go

This is a great app, the map itself is very informative! Helps when you get lost sometime!!😁
