Forvo Travel

This app would be great but is almost entirely useless without a search function. Say you’re trying to learn how to pronounce a certain word, you have to go through all their lists to find it if it’s even there. Please add search!

I just downloaded and tried a few sentences and found that the accent is British, request to add American speaking option, I will wait for the app update, thanks.

Purchased this app thinking there would be Hebrew transition (as on website) and it’s not there. Very disappointing.

Very good app

First time user and I had some problems getting the app to work. Reached out to the developers and they quickly responded and they kept working with me to resolve my problem. I really appreciate their responsiveness and diligence. The app is well designed and will be very helpful to me to quickly learn and prepare for travel. Nice variety and selection of languages, very useful travel phrases and guidance. Really look forward to learning and using this app! I have been using Forvo for many years now.° - first, the site and then the app. It has been one of the most practical language apps out of all the other iOS foreign language apps. (In my opinion) the app is easy to use, easy to utilize all of pf it’s specific features. Some of these features are unlike any other foreign language app made be fire it was released. For example, there is an area in the app specifically used for any native speaker of the language to record a word so that it's true pronunciation can be heard by you. It is exciting to hear this word properly spoken. There's no guesswork in the accuracy of the pronunciations-such as when you may be using a textbook without a recording to help teach you the correct pronunciation-it’s nearly impossible to know if you have the correct understanding. In addition, you will also find multiple recordings of that word from people living in different locations within the country that uses the language as its primary language. So aside from the occasional dialect differences in the word, you can be assured that what you are hearing is the correct or accepted way to speak. This feature is just one of many. I love this app & my family uses it also. There’s too much to detail about the app here, so just buy the app & see for yourself.

Really appreciate the real voices and the ease of accessing valuable phrases

Very pleased with first edition. Not fancy but a good start for an app that has so many possibilities. I’ve used Forvo online but like having this available on my iPhone. Time will tell where they take this app!
