If you could fix with map being on the phone instead of trying to type in CarPlay map screen make it for the phone because some places are easier to type in hand than on the screen. For example as soon it connects to CarPlay it won’t let me choose a spot on the phone, just on the screen of CarPlay it’s highly annoying because some locations have long addresses

Please add police spotting etc like Waze

It’s very frustrating and sad that this company, which made wonderful standalone GPS devices that function very well, and which makes in-car navigation on multiple different brands (e.g. Subaru, Jeep, etc) that function pretty well, makes such a horrible standalone phone app! The stars they do earn relate to the fact that 1) this is free with no ads. And 2): it does well with giving you the traffic colors on the map, so you can see around you and your destination any bad traffic. It also does well with giving you lots of options for marking road issues. As a phone map app it’s Ok- Lacks some significant items like making multiple stop routes. But the integration to CarPlay for Apple is horrendous. you can NOT zoom in and out using your figures on a pinch function nor swipe the map: you have to use the arrows to move and the plus/minus buttons to zoom. AND you can’t get to those without tapping a small little area on the screen. The June 2026 update had now broken the movements: it shifts the map in MASSIVE chunks, which often mean nowhere near your route (e.g. routing in PA, but arrows move the map to NJ). So you cannot have a fine level of control anymore. it’s horrible! When the app shows you the route Options. there are these big thick blue lines which also erase details so you don’t know necessarily what some of the roads are that it wants to take you on. Oh and you cannot zoom in on the map to see the route options - it only zooms to the end point no matter what! so, if you want to figure out what roads of the particular route option are, you have to choose one route and THEN move around the map, and if you don’t like that, you have to CANCEL the route and select a new one through the entire “search” process of putting an address in and looking for routes. For those who want to search for stops along the route, or multiple stops, you cannot! it is one stop only! (Unlike Apple Maps) if you need to go anywhere else or see somewhere along the route, you have to END your route, search for what you want, select it, and route to it, and then when there put your original destination back in. unbelievable! I don’t like that I have to pay for my in-car system navigation map, updates, and traffic, but I’m about to based on just how bad this app actually helps me. I’m not a big fan of the Apple app, but that actually is some degree quite a bit better than this one.

6/23/26 How do I see step by step directions? 6/8/26 This app is very limited. You can’t see the written directions, you can’t add waypoints. At least you could figure out how to move my places from TomTom go expert app to this one. If this app is supposed to be for drivers snd compete with Waze, you’re a long way off. 2/14/26- need ability to add waypoints including home as the last point. In the go expert app, you can only add home as a destination once you’re away from home. Apple Maps snd Google Maps have this feature in an easy way 3/18/26 need the ability to plan a trip with multiple waypoints. Otherwise I like the layout, I like the reporting options, I would like to have the capability of importing my saved places from TomTom go app to TomTom amigo; is that possible?

I can’t determine the ideal conduit for a bug submission so I’m trying here. While I’m at it can I ask for a return of the fantastic random loop round trip feature that Go Ride had? Bug Report: Navigation Stalls During Background Execution (Screen Off) Device & Environment • Device: iPhone 14 Pro • iOS Version: 26.5 • App: TomTom - Maps and Traffic (current version) • Usage Context: Motorcycle navigation with screen off; phone tucked away; relies entirely on voice guidance Issue Description During active navigation, when the screen is off and the app runs in the background, the navigation frequently stalls. Voice prompts stop updating, turn-by-turn guidance pauses, and the route progress indicator freezes. The app does not crash, and the GUI remains responsive when the screen is reactivated—only the active navigation subsystem appears frozen. Restarting active navigation (stopping and restarting the route) temporarily resolves the issue. Reproduction Context The issue occurs reliably during afternoon winding rides with screen off. It does not appear to correlate with signal loss (cellular and GPS remain active; other mapping apps function correctly during the same rides). Relevant Configuration • Background App Refresh: Enabled • Location Services: Always with Precise Location enabled • Route Preferences: "Avoid tolls" and "Avoid highways" enabled • Phone tucked away; screen off for extended periods (30+ minutes) What It's NOT • GPS/cellular signal loss (other apps work; device location remains accurate) • Permissions issue (Background App Refresh and Location Services correctly configured) • App crash (app remains open and responsive) Expected Behavior Navigation voice prompts and progress updates should continue uninterrupted while the app runs in the background with the screen off.

06/17/2026 The speed limits are incorrect sometimes and need to be updated with Open Street Maps data. As they are correct there. Still need to fix the updating route all the time. Not sure why this happens but it’s annoying it happens so often. When route is done app still is using the GPS location. Would be nice when route is done it would exit cleanly. 05/27/2026 One more annoying thing I’ve noticed in CarPlay is I get the updating route a lot. I’m not sure if it’s looking to see if any route is faster or something else but it seems to always keep me on my current route after popping up. Hopefully this can only update on screen when a change is requested instead of multiple times for no apparent reason. 05/21/2026 It keeps getting better. They have added the exit name and number on the map on iOS now. Still would be nice to have the ability to have offline maps and be able to back up favorites somehow. But neither are game breakers for me. 03/31/2026 Overall still really good. When an exit is coming up off the highway it only shows how many miles to the exit and not the exit name or number. This makes it a little tricky. So it would be nice to see the name and number of the exit you’re taking. This is in CarPlay and in the upper left box. Also some turns it does show the road name so I think the data is available. 03/25/2026 Bumping to 5 stars as the beta is really pretty good now. One annoying thing is the turn in the upper left of CarPlay updates too often. Like every 100 feet. One thing I hope they add is the ability to save favorites and offline maps. Honestly I’m willing to pay if they add these premium features and keep making the application better. Overall works pretty well. Would be nice to have it show up in CarPlay overview screen that has multiple apps. Also would be nice to have offline maps. Also would be nice to be able to sign in to save locations.

I don’t know how to fix. Sometimes opens if I toggle the connection to the internet, but it’s not reliable. I like this app better than all of the others due to the lack of fluff. I don’t need photos and yelp reviews built in (actually I REALLY don’t want that) so this app is great. Please fix it.

Software (app) works but there are a very high change the gps doesn’t show where you are. It shows you going through fields, house but not on highway. Town building are fake squares.

Waze donated to the ballroom and TomTom didn’t so I went with them TomTom and no issues !!
