You have to use your phone to enter your destinations which completely defeats the purpose of CarPlay. All other map applications let you enter the destination from your CarPlay screen. Could be a good app if it was useful.
I use this when traveling to check weather on our drive an compare to other temp apps and it has been great. Especially with winds and storms.
Love it
We use Drive Weather as a tool along with other GPS apps as we travel in our RV across the country. It’s great that we can know what the weather is going to be like ahead of time in case we need to make changes due to severe weather conditions.
One of the few apps I pay for. Great for full time RVer’s. When you need to know the weather for the next 6 hours, some times across a few states
Drive Weather is a must have for companion for journey planning.

Useless
Drive Weather is essential for our safety and enjoyment as we travel. It changed my experience from gusty-wind-“PTSD” to great fun. (Our Sprinter class B RV is like a wind-catching sail, narrow but 23’ long and 11’ high.) I love Drive Weather’s user-friendliness. Just using winds as an example: Choosing the best time to leave by looking at a route and sliding your finger to see the gusty wind forecast changing in all locations, as the departure time changes. While driving, it’s also useful to have a split screen, seeing Apple Maps parallel to Drive Weather, showing the conditions, including the direction of gusty winds, rain, etc., so you can be prepared. Best app of its kind.
I drive back and forth to Florida a lot and this app really gives total peace of mind that I will not drive into a thunderstorm. Thanks so much for this!
Did not see a radar anywhere in the app on the non paying version.
I have a terrible time trying to get my route saved. I’ve already tried to add my route a dozen times. Never saves the route or provide route wx details. Very frustrating. The concept is good bar only if it is usable.
