Description
Simple but amazingly useful! The Tap Tool does all of the hard work while you tap on the screen of your iOS device. Who is it for? As a health measure, you can use Tap Tool to quickly measure your heart rate or breathing rate. Learning to play a new tune? Ask Tap Tool to tell you the beats per minute of a favourite music track. In a survey you could use Tap Tool to count things/people/events/cars without using a pen or needing to look away. At school, university or in the lab, use Tap Tool to time a swinging pendulum or oscillating spring in a science experiment or ANY periodic event. Simply tap out a heart/pulse rate or tap in time to music or tap as a pendulum swings past and Tap Tool will calculate the following for you automagically... 1) Total number of taps 2) Elapsed time (how long you have been tapping for) 3) Average rate of tapping (the calculated average number of taps per minute) 4) Average time period between each tap on the screen. Download the app, interact with its simple interface and see what YOU can tap to... If there's anything you'd like added to the app, contact us via our website. We hope you enjoy using Tap Tool, and please let us know of the most bizarre thing you have used it for.
What's New
Still the same great app, now updated for iOS 13. The app icon has been updated with a Pro badge.

I use this to monitor my 22 year old cat’s respiratory and heart rates. Of the dozen apps I tried for this purpose, this one was by far the simplest, easiest to use, and most accurate. (It’s surprising how many apps don’t correctly calculate the average rate from a series of taps. Sadly I suspect most people will not notice or appreciate this.)
Nada
This is ideal for health care workers, counting pulse & respirations (especially for squirmy children), or timing seizure activity etc

I know everyone is using this for music, but this app has been *very* useful in estimating the ETA for web scraping applications to finish. Right now, I’m searching a website for 130,000 different things — the speed at which I can visit and grab data from these sites varies a ton. Using this app and watching the program for a few minutes, I can estimate how long it’s going to take for this program to finish. It’d be awesome if there was a toggle for the rate to update in real-time, and if there were taps-per-hour or taps-per-day estimates, but I understand why there isn’t if this is mainly focused at musicians. Overall a good app, and I never would have found it if I hadn’t tried the free version. Definitely a good idea to have the free and paid version be separate apps.
Simple & easy to use. Had it forever & jus spent the $1 to clear the apps. Cant be mad for supporting a solid app
