When connecting the drone cable to the iPhone, it automatically launches the DJI fly app which prevents maven from connecting to your drone, even when the DJI fly app it’s closed manually. Unable to use the software with the iPhone current version of the DJI fly app since there is no way to shut off auto starting the app.
Great app for DJI drones. Constant improvement by developers! Highly recommended.
Maven is the primary reason that I keep my Mavic 2 drones. The ability to plan waypoint missions and preview them in google earth; PRICELESS. I just wish that DJI would release SDK for Air 3s for those longer missions that need uploaded missions.
I did a lot of comparisons while searching for a good third-party app for the Mini 2. This app unlocked a whole new set of features that I never could have dreamed of with the stock DJI app. I started with waypoint mapping for photography then moved onto some of the advanced following features. Finally, I popped my phone into a cheapo “VR headset” holder and behold: FPV on a Mini 2. And not just some poor excuse for FPV. Like actually decent FPV functions and performance. I don’t usually buy apps, but this one turned the toy-like Mini 2 into a surprisingly capable, feature-packed drone. Great job, devs. Thank you for this.
The developer, Michele, has put far more thought and expertise into this application than we generally see with any app, except with the ones generated by the Googles and Microsofts of the world. Makes even a very basic drone to be capable of things that DJI, for whatever reason, has declined to include. Perhaps because they involve thoughtful input from the user, which is all spelled out in exceptional user guides - in multiple languages. The inclusion of a VR mode, which runs not on the manufacturer’s goggles, but on the cheap, plastic lens headset that you can get for less than $20, is adaptable and adjustable for any user’s eye separation, or vertical focus anomalies. All in all, this clearly was a labor of love, by a very capable engineer, with plenty of time she was willing to invest. Try it; you’ll like it!
Every time I try to connect my drone to the app it says aircraft Disconnect and I have the dji mini 2 se please help!
While using Copilot and follow me track, the update home point fail and the drone will fight back to original homepoint. User will loose the drone if battery not able to make it back home. Here is the footage review for this case. I didn't loose my drone because drone location very close to original home point.
Very well written app. The Waypoint portion worked flawlessly for me making the app worth more than double the cost. It has renewed my interest in drone flying and has contributed to my interest in checking out the features of my small town.
Does not support the Dji mini 2 se
I understand that Maven does not support Mini 3, so I try to use Dji fly app to run Mini 3 and Maven to run Mini 2. However, once I update dji fly firmware for mini 3, Maven will not connect mini 2 anymore! Only if I switch firmware back to Mini 2 on Dji fly app, then Maven will connect Mini 2 again. Should this be normal? Also, should Dji fly and Maven turn on simultaneously affect the apps each other?
