QuiltPaper makes graph paper for quilters. Quilt Paper has tools to help draft basic and specialty quilt layouts. Use it for English Paper Piecing to print accurate paper pieces, or export as an SVG to a cutting machine. To draft quilt layouts, start with the basic grid. Tap to add borders, sashing, cornerstones, etc. Even better, place an inspiration image under a grid to use as a guide as you create a layout. Use the Paint tool to play with color and create your design on your device. Three papers are included with purchase: Standard grid, Diagonal for on-point quilts, and Dots for free-form quilt planning. InApp purchases add 24 hard-to-find specialty papers. Buy any five papers (or purchase the ’All Papers Forever’ BUNDLE) to unlock all papers forever. I was looking for graph paper to draw equilateral triangle patterns and came across this app. After reading the reviews and the comments of the developer I knew this was the app I needed. When you purchase to access all papers all the time, you can color and design the way you want and then export it to print it out. Fantastic app for quilting designs.
It doesn’t have many options unless you purchase more. Not sure what the initial cost is for. Very disappointed.
The basic app is okay if you don’t mind spending money for a simple graph paper. There were some nice papers for nine-patch designs and half-square triangles. The Log Cabin add-on was useless. Of the several grids included only one was a Log Cabin and it couldn’t be manipulated. The rest were a mish-mash of patterns not remotely similar to a Log Cabin.
Paid .99 cents and then bought $4.99 bundle but almost a week and transaction still pending . Cannot access. Unacceptable.
I’m happy to finally find this. It’s simple to use and very effective for quilt planning.
I was looking for an app to help with quilt design, but I can not wrap my head around whatever this is. I’m not sure if it’s just more technical than necessary or really user unfriendly. Really wish I hadn’t bought the extra pages before I realized that. I’ve never been able to get anything to work the way I hoped or expected.
Just wanted to grid my own designs. There is no customizing it’s just duplicating. Waste of time and money!
I had no trouble using the grid. In fact I made some things I really liked. My problem is that I made one quilt block pattern and I would love to cut and paste it into a quilt sized grid to see how it looks as an actual quilt. Is there a way to do this or is this option coming in an update soon? Thanks!
Using this app to make perfectly fitting English paper pieces! Switched from plastic tracing templates and purchasing precuts to the precise fitting shapes I can print out. I still cut out the pieces, but saving lots of time because it always prints to scale so no more guessing/fussing at copier. Also, love the print to scale because I am not limited to the scale/size of patterns and precuts.
I found the app difficult to navigate and instructions don’t seem to exist. Sorry I spent the money.
