Bug fix: When using Density Altitude outside of cell service, Density Altitude+ now again correctly uses Onboard barometer. The issue was a recently added iOS privacy setting. If you're a current user and are still not prompted to allow the app to access the barometer, you can go into Settings->Privacy & Security->Motion & Fitness and enable access for Density Altitude+ there. This app is great for its simplicity and ease of use. I also like how the App Store indicates that no data is collected from the app. I just wish it could integrate into the display for the Apple Watch as this is something I often reference when towing in the mountains.
By far the best density altitude app. I just wish I could get it as an Apple Watch app with complications for my watch face.
Great for car racing.
This has always been a great App, but depending on location, GPS altitude for me could sometimes be off. With this new App update, 2.6.3, it provides increased satellite accuracy. Every reading for me is now completely accurate, every single time. An excellent App now made better!
GPS elevation doesn’t always update on the fly reliably. Example you check at bottom of a hike. Then gain 2,000’ elevation after hike. Check app again. GPS altitude/elevation doesn’t change. Don’t see how it can be accurate given this occurrence
I use it to backup my weather station data on my dyno as well as when I’m playing around with my car. 👍
Works good. Doesn’t need to be perfect, just give an idea of whats going on. Good enough to right info on a dope card.
It would deserve a five star rating if I could manually change the location.
Ok so the fact that they added stuff for racers when someone asked is awesome! Only thing I would like to see is the barometric pressure. Other than that this app is pretty sweet. I’m a racer BTW
Spot on with my weather station everywhere I go! Granted the weather station was 1500.00 & app was 3.99! This app is a no brainer for any on track race tuner!!
