You guys removed a lot of the good bands and music from your platform. All of Metallica, AC/DC, etc. and you keep adding no name artists as a filler. You need to fix this before I cancel my subscription.
Not only did it not help with my guitar skills at all but not tune well but it also costs money for simple things like learning chords?! All you do for free is do little tabs for free and not the songs youd like either they pick not you. Trust me when i say that tabs and chords is SO much better they even have people record themselves if they want and post it so others can learn and they have every song you can think of! Not to mention they dont only teach guitarists!!
I have been subscribed to Yousician for about 6 years now. It’s been a great experience overall. I like to think of it like a gym membership. It keeps me motivated and practicing guitar (and piano) regularly. I like that it gives you real time feedback on your playing. It’s nice that new songs come out regularly and that they have multiple versions of varying difficulty. There are a few things I wish the developer would change. Most importantly, tell us when a song is going to leave the game. Or, only add songs permanently. Nothing is more frustrating and demotivating than practicing a song for weeks only to find it gone from the game one day, never to return. This has happened to me way too many times. Second, the riff lessons are really cool, but I can’t learn difficult riffs in those lessons because the tempo changes automatically, and you can’t turn it off. Even when you set it manually, it still changes automatically. You shouldn’t change the tempo while I’m playing the song. It is such a terrible experience. Please allow us to manually control the tempo. Honestly, it would be nice to have a uniform user interface when playing songs. For example, some songs allow you to practice by playing at your own speed, waiting for you to play each note but others don’t. There’s no reason for that functionality not to be available on every song.
I have an acoustic guitar and I am a beginner at playing guitar and this app was extremely helpful. It taught me a lot about how to play my guitar and how to hold it and how to tune it. It lets you pick music you like to practice with and it has a feature for you to play at your own pace. The only downside to this app is that you have to pay after about 10ish lessons. So it gives you a couple lessons to get you started off but then it makes you pay so don’t get this app if you want to pay but otherwise this app is pretty useful.
THIS APP IS HORRIBLE I HAVE TO PLAY THE SAME NOTE FOR 10 MINUTES SO IT CAN HEAR IT !
App is pretty good. I just do it free, and it limits my time, like I get 10-15 free minutes a day. Using the bass course, it’s effective but a little slow at first. Overall pretty nice. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay though.
Great teaching for free
I am using this app for more than a year. It is more of a motivation tool to keep me playing and trying new things. However recently they had a copyright dispute with Sony and removed most of their song catalog. This is very devastating.
It was really good taught me about riffs and strings and switching hands
I have no complaints this app has helped me learn. So much all the other app I tried to help me learn guitar did not help me understand but this app does. SOOOOO GOOD
Huge trap for iOS users! They intentionally bypass Apple's App Store in-app purchase system and redirect you to their official website for subscription. Once you get charged and want a refund, you can't request it through Apple because there is no record in the App Store. You are forced to deal with their own stubborn customer service. Avoid this shady practice!
