When everything works as intended, this app is great. But when there’s a problem, you’re left on your own troubleshooting (closing and reopening the app over and over to retry) for who knows how long until it works again. One common issue is after selecting a machine and sliding to authorize, it will connect via Bluetooth, but then timeout on the authorizing payment step. It’s especially frustrating since the app already makes you pre-load funds before you get to this step. Then the help chat is useless. There are pre-populated prompts which, when selected, populate pre-populated generic responses. If you try to type anything else, you get an error message. It would be better to just link to a FAQ page than to pretend to have a help chat bot. But it still gets three stars only for being slightly less frustrating than constantly going to the bank for quarters.

Turns a simple chore into a long and unpredictable problem. Laundry room has poor cell service so only randomly are we actually able to sign in and have it let us link to a machine. Why can’t this app work offline and just update with your payment once one is back on line. This crummy app has literally wasted hours of my life just trying to get clean laundry. Coins don’t “need” wifi.

Transactions hang on additional 25c…Then I have to close and open app again and get charged the full $1.75 again…This is a tool for ripping people off every second of every day.

Every other week I would have trouble with my laundry because the app doesn’t work for some reasons and I can’t pay for my laundry. This is annoying.

Pay Range, Revenue Universe, Tapjoy are scams the App Store does nothing but allow fake positive reviews. No payment comes for credit earned and “contact support” is worthless (bots)

What an absolute scam. App doesn’t connect to machines but still takes your money. Then they will not refund. I highly recommend staying away from any device that requires this app.

PayRange’s machines are frequently breaking, fixing symptoms and not the actual issues. When they do break, they’re slow to send someone to do the “repairs.” Do not use Sign in With Apple because it’ll make sending in maintenance requests difficult as it relies on your actual email address since the “bot” they use fails to accomplish almost anything, deferring you to their email address. If something isn’t exactly $2.25, the app seems to have no comprehension of the concept, requiring quarters or 25¢ payments to get you to the desired fee.

Beware! There are no refunds, you may get charged 3-4 times on random transactions. Payrange has a way to report and refund transactions like this, but unfortunately there is no one who is able to actually process the refunds so good luck.

This app is terrible. It frequently does not connect to the washer and dryer and I end up paying for loads of laundry that don’t even run. Furthermore, there’s absolutely no way to contact support. The help page says “connect to the internet” to contact them, which is absurd because I obviously am. It’s a TRASH app. I don’t recommend it.

this app doesn’t really work, as far as using it for paying to use the laundry machine. glitches, never connects, won’t authorize, and the information it gives you is unreliable. i don’t know why they bother. this app is a waste of time and space and it’s embarrassing that it’s reliant on AI for customer support. there just shouldn’t be an option as any issue you have is just responded to with “thank you, i love payrange too!” or “please repeat that”. if i were one of the developers i would be too humiliated to admit it. this is worthless

Can’t log in, changed password but still says invalid credentials: sign in error May 18 2026

I really really wish that Apple would stop allowing developers to put our cash on their account accounts through apps, with no ability to refund unused balance. I have two apps with small amounts of money on them, and I want my unused money back. This really should be seen to by Apple as soon as possible. It is untenable!
