I’ve been reading Snopes for many years, back when it started it checked mostly urban legends. Now it does a fantastic job of covering important breaking news items. I like to read it, so when people tell me “did you hear about…”(the latest outrage) I can say that’s fake and point them to Snopes. Excellent!!

So glad that I have a reliable source to deal with all the false internet stories, & now the AI slop. I’m a subscriber, it’s such a valuable resource.

Snopes is my go-to any time something I’ve seen or read sets off my sense that it is suspicious. I have found them to be reliable, well researched, and unmatched.

Because I am a lawyer, I am a fanatic about fact checking, and Snopes is one of the few sites that I trust to give me accurate information. Thank you, Snopes.

AI is a creepy manipulation invented to confuse lazy people even more than they already are. Digging it out and tossing it is probably the best thing you do.

The fly in my ointment is that I paid for a year's subscription in November but the app is still limiting me to the free articles and cuts me off. I need assistance and short of cancelling my subscription what can I do?
